Viticulture and Enology Research Center
from California Agricultural Technology Institute at the California State University, Fresno Campus A well organised academic site with detailed research statements and biographies and some useful local links such as the up to date Announcements and Events The information loads quickly and easily and is well linked internally.
Highlights -fulltext of many of their research publications and newsletters back to 1994.
Charles Sturt University Winery
including the Ron Potter Centre for Grape Wine and Food Research and the School of Wine and Food Sciences. Not well organised and can be slow to load because of the extensive graphics but Charles Sturt is a leader in this field and under these pages are links to many important Australian wine science initiatives eg AUSVIT Viticultural Decision Support System. Their research is well discussed. Other features are wine show results, and a brief history of wine.
The Department of Horticulture, Viticulture and Oenology
at the University of Adelaide is listed because of its closeness to Lincoln allows potential collaborations. The web site is up to date and easy to navigate but not comprehensive in online information. Staff research is discussed and their publications listed but none are available online. It includes a history of the Hickinbotham Roseworthy Wine Science Laboratory A possible highlight is the discussion of the confocal microscope facility.
Department of Viticulture and Enology
at the University of California Davis Campus has an huge web presence and many useful features. The wineserver is all graphic and will take a time to load but it is very valuable information. Click on the grapes for further information.
