- Charles Sturt University Winery
- including the Ron Potter Centre for Grape Wine and Food Research and the School of Wine and Food Sciences. Not well organised and can be slow to load because of the extensive graphics but Charles Sturt is a leader in this field and under these pages are links to many important Australian wine science initiatives eg AUSVIT Viticultural Decision Support System. Their research is well discussed. Other features are wine show results, and a brief history of wine.
- The Department of Horticulture, Viticulture and Oenology
- at the University of Adelaide is listed because of its closeness to Lincoln allows potential collaborations. The web site is up to date and easy to navigate but not comprehensive in online information. Staff research is discussed and their publications listed but none are available online. It includes a history of the Hickinbotham Roseworthy Wine Science Laboratory A possible highlight is the discussion of the confocal microscope facility.

- at the University of California Davis Campus has an huge web presence and many useful features. The wineserver is all graphic and will take a time to load but it is very valuable information. Click on the grapes for further information.
Highlights
A searchable theses database covering 220 Davis wine science theses going back to the 1950's. Most have abstracts and though will be very hard to obtain from here, they will be useful stimuli to focus your research ideas.
VEN Briefs - their news journal available in PDF format back till 1994
Wine URLs - a huge though not annotated list of sites with many American organisations and wineries represented
RAVE - an annual symposium of research updates. These are also available in PDF format.
- New York State Agricultural Experimentation Station
- Based at Cornell University- This is a standard academic web site with faculty details etc but it represents the Eastern side of the States and has some local information available. Also of note are the few fulltext research papers on grape genetics.
The Wine Research Extension
of the Food Science and Technology Department at Cornell is a related programme. Among the faculty details available here are some full-page discussions and photographs of their research.
