(my film) My film... it's becoming best friends with the shelf in the TV room. Sometimes I take it out to the park to play. It's fun. |

Movies seen lately:
Swordfish: A two-hour ad for Halley Berry's breasts. Travolta's character starts off the film with a speech about how much Hollywood sucks. Boy, he sure is right. Karate Kid: Oh, yeah, I know the movie came out in '84, but I hadn't seen it since then. "Show me, sand the floor!" I suppose for its purpose and audience, it's good. One complaint: the blonde jerky kid beats the crap out of Ralph Maccio, but then when Maccio wins, the jerky kid says, "Hey, man, it's true, you deserve this!" and hands him the trophy. I don't get it. Angel Eyes: A tough Chicago cop (Lopez) finds something appealing about scruffy homeless guys who are actually not who they appear to be. To be honest, I actually liked this movie. Lopez gets really into her role, and the characters all had some sort of personal issue to overcome, which I also liked. The scruffy weirdo took some getting used to. Vertical Limit: The DVD is pretty cool, with a bunch of extras like a commentary by director Martin Campbell, and some movies/shorts about K2 and the making of "Limit." The movie isn't as cool as the DVD, but it's not like I was surprised by that. It's at least entertaining, even if it's painfully predictable.
Books: I haven't really read any books lately, unless you count technical manuals. Boy, that Visual Basic book -- what a plot! Listening to: Kid Loco's "DJ Kicks", Morcheeba's "Who Can You Trust?", David Bowie's "Bowie at the Beeb", Kenny Wayne Sheppard's "Live On", Billy Holiday's "Greatest Hits"

My year anniversay in LA came a couple of days ago (I don't remember the exact day). It's hot again. That's about it. |

Jesus... I didn't think so much could happen in 6 months. I was wrong. I know the meaning of bravery and coping. |
