Alyson Hannigan was born in Washington D.C. on 1974. Growing up in Atlanta, she focused on a career in television. Her first appearances on television were made on commercials like "Oreo Cookies" and "McDonald's". In pursuit of a greater career in acting, her family moved to Los Angeles when she was only 11 years of age.
Three years after moving to California, she landed a big part in "My Stepmother Is An Alien". She acted next to Kim Basinger, Dan Akroyd and Seth Green. Coincidently, Alyson's character, Jessie Mills, was romantically paired with Seth's character.
Although Alyson made several appearances, little happened on a large scale. "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" debut in 1996. Alyson played the part of the witty, yet awkward nerd outcast, Willow. Alyson's role did not change much until the second season, where her character met Oz, played by Seth Green. After about 9 years, Alyson and Seth's characters are once again romantically paired.
In 1998, Alyson also appeared on "Dead Man On Campus", where she acted next to Mark-Paul Gosselaar. In 1999, Alyson appeared in in "American Pie", a "teen-sex comedy".
