Emma was born in San Diego, CA in April 1973. While she became intersted in acting in her teens, she did not sacrifice education; she has a degree in psychology.
Many fans might remember her from Beverly Hills: 90210, where she played Susan Keats. She then landed roles in General Hospital and made several guest appearances on television shows.
Emma joined the cast of Buffy in the third season playing Anya, a vengeance demon. She would later be stripped of her demonic powers and join the group as Xander's love interest. Her character is unfamiliar with social behavior, making her humorous in the most unlikely situations. When Xander and Anya's wedding fell apart, Anya returned to becoming a vengeance demon.
