1959 01 08 Elvis is interviewed off-camera by Dick Clark on American Bandstand 1959 06 15 Elvis visits Paris, he stays at the Prince De Gaulles Hotel and he visits several night-clubs 1959 09 01 Elvis sends a telegram to The Colonel where he asks the Colonel while he is in New York if he can get RCA to get a message to the fans "to thank them not only for buying my records and for their loyalty to me but also for the help they have given me in deciding the kind of songs to sing, for in talking with them and reading their letters I was able to get some idea of what they liked. I'm deeply grateful to them and I want them to know it. When I'm out of the army and recording again I will always listen to their ideas just as I did before. He had helped Elvis with skintreatments, but after Elvis found out that he had done several homosexual advances to some of Elvis' friends, Elvis discontinued the skin treatment. Griessel-Landau went into a fit of rage and threatened to ruin Elvis' career by revealing compromising photographs and tape recordings.
