1965	02	24	Elvis records the soundtrack for Harum Scarum at RCA Studio B in Nashville. Songs: Shake That Tambourine 

1965	02	25	Elvis records the soundtrack for Harum Scarum at RCA Studio B in Nashville. Songs: Hey Little Girl, My Desert Serenade, Kismet, Golden Coins, So Close, Yet So Far, Wisdom Of The Ages and Animal Instinct 

1965	04	14	Girl Happy premiers nationally and ranked #25 in Varietys list of top-grossing films for 1965

1965	08	27	The Beatles visits Elvis in his home in California. According to some sources they jammed for awhile

1965	12	25	Priscilla gives Elvis a slot car racing set. He loved it so much he went out and got a huge one. When he found he had no room for the set, he built a room on the patio between the house and the pool to set up the tracks. He and his friends all had cars which they raced against each other. The slot cars and tracks were later removed when Elvis and Priscilla had their Memphis wedding reception in this room. It is now the trophy room

1965	12	31	Elvis celebrates New Years Eve at The Manhattan Club with over 100 of his friends. It was catered by Monte's who catered many of Elvis' events. Willie Mitchell was the band leader and other entertainers included the Guillotines and Vaneese Starks who sang "Hound Dog."
