1935 01 08 Elvis Aron Presley is born
1936 01 10 Dr. William R Hunt who delivered Elvis signs the birthcertificate for both Elvis and Jesse Garon. One year after the birth
1945 10 03 Elvis wins secondprice in an amateur singing contest at the Mississippi-Alabama Fair and Dairy show He sings Old Shep and wins 5 dollar and free rides
1946 01 08 Elvis gets his first guitar, it costs $7.91
1948 09 12 The Presleys moves to Memphis
1948 09 13 Elvis is admitted to Christine School on Third street in Memphis to complete 8th grade
1951 06 03 Elvis starts working at Precision Tools at 1132 Kansas, from 7 am - 3.20 pm, five days a week
1951 07 01 Elvis is fired from Precision Tools because his too young
1952 04 17 Elvis gets a part-time job at the Loew's State Theater at 152 South Main
1952 05 28 Elvis is fired from Loew's Theater after fighting with an other usher
1952 08 06 Elvis says that he's one year older than he is, and gets a job at Upholsteries Specialtys Company at 210 West Georgia Avenue
1952 12 24 Elvis sings Old Shep and Cold, Cold Icy Fingers on a christmas show at Humes High School
1953 04 09 Elvis participates in The Annual Minstrel Show at Humes High School, Memphis, TN. He sings a bluesy version of Keep Them Icy Fingers Off Of Me, he's called in for an encore and sings Till I Waltz Again With You. Some claim that the encore was Old Shep
1953 05 26 Elvis participates in the amateur contest, First Jimmie Rodgers Memorial Talent Show at The Lamar Hotel in Meridian, Mississippi. He sings I'm Left, You're Right, She's Gone and Baby, Let's Play House and wins a guitar for second prize
1953 06 03 Elvis graduates from Humes High School
1953 07 18 Elvis records My Happiness and That's When Your Heartaches Begin at Sun Studios i Memphis. Some claims he did it as a gift for his mother. Others say that he wanted Sam Phillips to hear him
