The weather was frigid and the sound quality was lacking. As if that weren't enough, Elvis ripped the seat of his pants early in the show. Despite the problems, Elvis and the Colonel took home over $300,000 to divide after expenses. Following the show, Elvis and his entourage including Lisa Marie, Vernon, T.G. Sheppard and his wife, and Linda Thompson flew back to Memphis on the "Lisa Marie." They rung in the new year watching old tapes of "Monty Python" shows in Elvis' bedroom |
