• Records indicate that Elizabeth died in 1743, yet Joyce's baptism was in 1751 (agreeing with the date given on her burial). All other children of Hugh and Elizabeth were baptised prior to 1743, so it is expected that either the death record of Elizabeth is wrong, the wrong mother was incorrectly entered on the baptism record in error, or that Joyce was baptised later due to the death of her mother, and baptism records subsequently utilised for her age. This ancestry assumes the latter.
