This is the main entrance page. Please use this page to bookmark or link to this site. I know that it's not an incredibly exciting page, but just humor me.
This section is undergoing a huge renovation. The old page just had a couple of pictures of me on it and I finally decided to get a little more personal. You'll find the obligatory "name, birthdate, marital status" stuff here now, along with opinions, peeves, preferences, and anything else I feel like revealing. Why? ... Why not? It's my page and I can do whatever I want with it. So there.
I was just informed by one of my many adoring fans that I had neglected to provide a picture of myself when I redesigned this page. Shame on me. If you're really that curious, check out Pictures of Me on my old Me Page. That's "old" as in "no longer current" ...
On these pages, you'll find all of the awards my web site has won along with the gifts I've received from the members of some of the groups to which I belong. If I've got at least two, that means I can say "all of the awards," right?
I have the most beautiful children in the world. You'll find pictures of them here, along with photos of other people in my family. One of these days I'll get around to adding pictures of my travels.
A form for submitting your favorite low-fat recipes for display on this site. You can also send any suggestions, requests or comments from this page. All information is sent to me by email - not automatically posted on the website.
This web site belongs to my daughters, Shannon, Jade, and Aly. ( I'm helping them a little. ) Whatever they find interesting will end up here. It's a "work in progress," so check back often to see the latest additions!
This section started out as a project for a class I took at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE) called "Living Ecologically" and it turned out a little bigger than I had originally planned. There's some REALLY good stuff here, if I must say so myself (...if I don't, who will?). Be sure to check it out and let me know what you think. One of these days I'll go through all of the links and delete the ones that no longer work, but despite that, as of now (February 1, 2003), there's still a ton of great information here.
I am definitely addicted to webrings. In this section you will find a ton of information about webrings in general along with a list of the many rings I manage. My ring memberships are divided up by category and kinda sorta listed in alphabetical order on each page. An excellent reference for those of you looking for rings to join.
I'm a joiner. So sue me.
Index: The entrance page for Webring Central. This page contains more than just links to the rest of the section; you'll also find "hints" on what to look for when joining rings along with lots of other information.
Rings I Manage: I manage a bunch of rings that cover too many different topics to mention here. Mosey on over to this page and check out my rings there. You'll find a link to join each ring I manage listed along with its description. You can look them over and find all of the ones you want to join listed all on one page. You can see the navigation graphic for each ring, too.
My Memberships: On this page you will find a link to all of the pages that display the webrings to which I belong. This includes not just the rings associated with this site, but also the ones for the Living Ecologically site (for both the section on this site and its mirror site), and for the Kid Zone.
Resources & Help: If you have a question, you can find the answer from one of the sites listed in this section. I've tried to gather a list of the best Webring Help Pages available. If you would like me to add your own site here, please contact me.
Other Addicts: Did you really think I was the only person who spent way too much time messing around with webrings? On this page, you'll find a list of Ring Managers who own a large number of rings and have at least one page of their web site devoted to them. By visiting their pages, you will be able to find lots of well-managed rings all gathered together for you in nice, neat little bunches, just waiting for you to join. A second list directs you to the web sites of people who hold memberships in large numbers of rings. Visiting their sites will also save you time because all of the rings are displayed in big groups - you won't have to weed through search listings that contain hundreds of rings in order to find the one that is right for you. They've already done all the work for you...LOL
Webring Profile - carlamo : This is the profile people see when they click on a link to find out more about the manager of my rings.
I've been wanting to add a new section for a long time, and when I adopted some Winnie the Pooh webrings, this seemed like the logical choice. Hopefully I'll actually be able to find some time to work on it now that I've started it!
(This is a site I made for a French course at SIUE. And, yes, it is written completely in French, not a word of English.)
Has anyone ever found a site without links to other sites? Any links I find interesting will be found here, all nicely and neatly arranged for your perusal. (As of July 2002, I have not mustered up enough motivation to finish this page. I've only put it off for about six years now. I plan to work on it soon, so check back. No, really, I will. I promise. Really. Soon.)
This is my weblog, provided by Blogger.com. Basically, it's an online journal where I can post my musings, rants, jokes (before I forget the punchlines), interesting URLs, etc. Check back periodically to see if I ever actually write anything.
I have very low self-esteem and need constant reassurance, so please be sure to let me know what you think of my site. "I'm good enough; I'm smart enough, and, gosh darn it, people like me!"
The GeoCities gods have not been smiling on me lately. I have been encountering an unusual number of problems when trying to fix these pages. One of these problems is that the (GeoCities) Guestbook entry page won't work, for no reason I can solve. So, I finally got fed up enough to add an independent guestbook. I apologize for the annoying ads that come with it.
Well, I found out about the shortcoming of my last guestbook service - the hard way. Someone made a post containing (hidden) links to dozens of porn sites and, by the time I found it, I wasn't able to go in and delete it without deleting the hundreds of posts that had followed it. I started receiving posts from really disgusting sites (...yes, Virginia, even open-minded people have their limits...). So, I archived the posts from that guestbook (sans the icky ones) and started a new one that allows me more control over deleting old posts. You can view the old posts in the archives:
Every night before I go to bed, I read all the wonderful posts from my old guestbooks, and now you can, too.
