Discussions/Reports

  1. Ana DiSanzo
    1. The following team managers must provide the old ID or a note the ID is lost:
      1. Italo, Milan, for player Sergio Velazquez who transferred to Inca and Usualdo Herrera who transferred to International
      2. Miguel, Capote, for player William Gaviria who transferred to Inca
      3. Lenny, Cal Gold, for player Ricardo Morales who transferred to International
    2. Mail requests for new IDs to Ana, include a stamped self addressed envelop for the ID return, in addition to the two pictures, $5 and signed ID form.
    3. Transfers will get their new ID after Ana receives the old ID or a note from the previous manager the ID is lost. This in addition to the $25 transfer fee, signed ID form and two pictures.
    4. ID pictures must be a minimum of 1 inch x 1 inch and a maximum of 2 inches x 2 inches
  2. Bob Mazenauer – The projected income is $800 short of expected expenses for the 2002/2003 season. Fund raisers or increased team fees may be necessary.
    1. Ard suggested SSL conduct a Saturday/Sunday tournament at the Phoenix Club as a fund raiser
      1. Share the entry fees with the Phoenix Club.
  3. 11/23/02 Cal Gold vs International game protest
    1. Ader confirmed International used a non team player, Villacorta, after he saw Cal Gold play who he thought was an ineligible player, Giron, who had played with International the week before as a new player. Giron was listed on the International 11/16/02 game card but the game card did not list him as a non ID player.
    2. The vote was 6 for and 2 against to award the win to Cal Gold if Lenny shows Giron’s ID card to either Shirey or Helferich by 2/22/03; if he does not then the game will be listed as a friendly with no points.
    3. Giron will be suspended 3 months for his actions, vote 6 for, 1 against. The vote to suspend for 1 year was defeated 2 for 5 against.
  4. The actual score of the 1/18/03 Capote vs Cal Gold will be recorded as Capote 4 Cal Gold 0.
  5. Shirey will put the minutes of these meetings on the SSL web site for members to access.

Conclusions/Decisions

  1. The Trial Board reconsidered Ramon Sandoval’s 1/25/03 red card penalty and imposed a 5 game suspension (that allows him to play 3/22/03) and a 6 month probation that ends 9/22/03, which if he gets any red card during the 6 month probation a 10 game suspension must be served.
  2. Future schedules will feature 1 Saturday without scheduled games between Rounds.
  3. By a vote of 7 for and 1 against, each team manager can reschedule, 2 weeks prior to the game, one game per round to the Saturday between rounds, with the permission of the President.

Actions:

  1. Each manager to send Ana/Roger a team roster in Excel format by 2/22/03
    1. Roger will validate all players are registered and the result will be posted on the League web site.
  2. Jeff Rowe – provide a status report on another field availability and cost. This might be beneficial in supporting an over 60 league.

Future Business

  1. Limit team rosters to 25 players
  2. Support an over 60 league
    1. Roger to develop a plan
