PSALM 2 - AN END TIME MESSIANIC PSALM!

Kiss The SON!

Notice the progression in the attitude of the kings and rulers of the Earth toward the anointed Christ. It goes from rage, anger and hatred of Him, before His Return, to a fear of Him after His Return. After Christ establishes His Kingdom, the kings and rulers put on an appearance of pleasure and happiness when in His Presence, but are actually fearful of Him and tremble inside.

In verse 2, the kings, leaders and rulers of the Earth sit down (no doubt around a big u-shaped impressive table) and conspire against the Lord, the Anointed Christ. Verse 1, they are raging and angry, making fruitless and vain plans to try to bring down God. Imagine their suggestions for armament, their puffed up pride and their expressions of hatred toward Him.

In the meantime, verse4, God is laughing at them from Heaven. God can breath on them and make them disappear forever or send them to Hell fire forever, yet they rage and plan on, unaware of their precarious position. God laughs at the futility of their strategic planning. Verses 6-11, God turns the Earth over to Christ, His son. He rules from Mt. Zion, Jerusalem. The kings and rulers have to toe the mark. They are instructed by the Christ they have raged against, He rules them with a rod of iron (iron scepter). They have to serve Him.

Then, verse 12, the leaders are told, ‘kiss the Son, least He be angry at you’. Even if He gets angry with them just a little, they could be ‘goners’. The leaders of the Earth have kissed and bowed down to one another, the time will come when they must kiss, bow down and worship the King of the Universe, the One they have hated, fought and raged against, lest He become angry with them. They must serve Him and they will do it with fear in their hearts. They will make an appearance of being pleased and happy to be in His presence, but they will tremble inside.

Then Psalm 2 ends with, “Blessed are those who put their trust in Him.” There are blessings for those who trust Him. It is an altogether different relationship with Him, it will involve true love and trust.

When reading this, one can see that these are most likely the End Time leaders who gather to battle at Armageddon. Also, it is most likely that people who are not saved will be allowed into the Kingdom, because at the end of the 1,000 years, Satan, after his release from bondage, is able to gather an army to, again, try to take Christ out. Of course, he fails, before he is thrown into Hell fire.

PSALM 2

Psalm 2:1 "Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?
Psalm 2:2 The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the Lord, and against His Anointed, saying,
Psalm 2:3 Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.
Psalm 2:4 He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision.
Psalm 2:5 Then shall He speak unto them in His wrath, and vex them in His sore displeasure.
Psalm 2:6 Yet have I set My King upon My Holy Hill of Zion.
Psalm 2:7 I will declare the decree: the Lord hath said unto Me, Thou art My Son; this day have I begotten Thee.
Psalm 2:8 Ask of Me, and I shall give Thee the heathen for Thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for Thy possession.
Psalm 2:9 Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; Thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel.
Psalm 2:10 Be wise now therefore, O ye kings: be instructed, ye judges of the earth.
Psalm 2:11 Serve the Lord with fear, and rejoice with trembling.
Psalm 2:12 Kiss the Son, lest He be angry, and ye perish from the way, when His wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in Him."

Jesus and The Widow!

Jesus Watched The Widow At The Temple - Luke 21:1-4

Luke 21:1 And He looked up, and saw the rich men casting their gifts into the treasury. Luke 21:2 And He saw also a certain poor widow casting in thither two mites. Luke 21:3 And He said, ‘Of a truth I say unto you, that this poor widow hath cast in more than they all: Luke 21:4 For all these have of their abundance cast in unto the offerings of God: but she of her penury hath cast in all the living that she had.’

Jesus watched the rich men put much money into the Temple treasury. Jesus watched the Widow put only 2 coins in the Temple treasury. These gifts were offerings to God. Jesus said that the Widow actually gave more than the rich men because they gave of their abundance but she gave all that she had to live on.

Take a closer look. To give all that she had would show that the Widow was giving to God because she worshipped and loved Him. It is obvious that God was the Center of her life. Little did she know or realize that Jesus from Nazareth, Who was standing nearby, was God in the flesh. On that day, God was so close all she had to do was reach out and touch Him.

As Jesus watched the Widow, He knew all about her, that her husband had died, and that she was giving all that she had. She gave her all, demonstrating that she was trusting God to supply all her needs. She didn’t give expecting a big windfall of money to be left on her doorstep to replace her last coin.

The Widow had not the slightest thought that throughout the following 2000 years, she and her giving to God would be read about in God’s Word, that Christians would be teaching about her and seeing in her, an example to follow.

John Beheld HIS Glory!

Here are a few thoughts on the Disciple, John.

John 1:14 - "And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father) full of grace and truth."

When the Son of God became flesh and lived among his creation those 2,000 years ago, John and all the Disciples, among others, looked at Him, followed Him and listened to Him. Jesus Christ was full of grace and truth. John was in awe of Christ, as expressed in 1 John 1:1: - "That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life;"

As he walked with Christ, John had the privilege of seeing Jesus, the Son of God, first hand. He heard Him speak, he touched Him, he looked at Him, he walked with Him, he ate with Him, he heard Him pray and he sang with Him. (Matthew 26:30 - “And when they had sung an hymn, they went out into the mount of Olives.” & John 17)

John had the awesome experience (Matthew 17:1-13) of seeing Christ in His transfiguration on a high mountain. Christ's face shone like the sun, and His garment was as white as the light. John even heard the voice of God from heaven saying, "This is my beloved Son, in Whom I am well pleased;" John was so afraid that fell on his face, along with Peter and James.

John also suffered for Christ. He endured tribulation and was exiled to the Isle of Patmos where Christ gave him the prophecy of the book of Revelation. (Revelation 1:9 - “I John, who also am your brother, and companion in tribulation, and in the kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was in the isle that is called Patmos, for the word of God, and for the testimony of Jesus Christ.”)

How we look forward to the day when we, also, shall see Jesus Christ, shall hear Him sing and shall serve Him as He sits on His throne in Jerusalem and rules the world as KING OF KINGS. (Zephaniah 3:17 - “The LORD thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; He will save, He will rejoice over thee with joy; He will rest in His love, HE WILL JOY OVER THEE WITH SINGING.” Revelation 22:3 - 4 - “And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and His servants shall serve Him:” “And they shall see His face; and His name shall be in their foreheads.)

Note: MOUNT OF OLIVES - Zechariah 14:4

"And His feet shall stand in that day upon the Mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the Mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south."

When Jesus Christ was on Earth, He and His disciples spent much time together on the Mount of Olives. We understand that Christ spent nights there and prayed there. What a glorious day it will be when Jesus returns to Earth and once again stands upon the Mount of Olives. AMEN!! HALLELUJAH!!

The REDEEMER! Worship the KING!

~~~~~ The REDEEMER ~~~~~
Job 19:25 - "For I know that my Redeemer lives, and that He shall stand at the latter day upon the earth;"
Job 19:25 has always been my favorite Bible verse. It comes from one of the oldest books of the Bible, yet it speaks of a Redeemer and of His stand upon the Earth in the latter day. And to think that we who have been Redeemed, are living in the latter day when the Redeemer shall step down and stand on Earth, is very exciting.
2 Timothy 1:12 - "... for I know whom I have believed and am persuaded that He is able to keep that which I have committed unto Him against that day."
2 Timothy 1:12 emphasizes a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. One needs not only to know about Christ, but one needs to know Him in a personal way. The verse also looks ahead to the day of His coming. What a privilege to be able to say of Jesus Christ, "I know whom I have believed".
~~~~~ WORSHIP THE KING ~~~~~

Zechariah 14:9 "And the Lord shall be King over all the Earth: in that day shall there be One Lord, and His Name One."

Zechariah 14:16 "And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, the Lord of Hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles."

Revelation 11:15 "And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in Heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the Kingdoms of our Lord, and of His Christ; and He shall reign for ever and ever."

Revelation 22:1 "And he showed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the Throne of God and of the Lamb."

PSALM 100 - COME BEFORE GOD’S PRESENCE

Psalm 100:l Make a Joyful noise unto the Lord, all ye lands.
Psalm 100:2 Serve the Lord with Gladness: come before His Presence with Singing.
Psalm 100:3 Know ye that the Lord He is God: it is He that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are His people, and the Sheep of His Pasture.
Psalm 100:4 Enter into His gates with Thanksgiving, and into His courts with Praise; be Thankful unto Him, and Bless His Name.

Psalm 100 invites us to enter God’s Presence. A verse in the New Testament, Hebrews 4:16, tells us the same thing, to come “boldly before the throne of Grace”.

In Psalm 100, notice the progression in approaching God's Presence: GATE - COURT - PRESENCE. Enter His GATES with thanksgiving. Enter His COURTS with praise. Come before His PRESENCE with singing.

To think in terms of approaching God, think in terms of walking toward Him, physically. It illustrates how open He is to us spiritually. When we think of approaching God, let us keep in mind the physical aspect of entering any gate or courtyard. We would naturally walk through them on our two feet. Then, think in terms of GOD’S GATE and GOD’S COURTYARD.

To ENTER HIS GATES, we would walk through them.
To ENTER HIS COURTS, we would walk into them.
To COME BEFORE HIS PRESENCE, we would move forward and toward Him, we would not cower outside the Gates. Then, we would stand before Him. Job was told by God to stand before Him like a man. (Job 38:3)

When praying, we can stand, walk, kneel, or be prostrate. If we were actually in God’s Presence, we would all fall on our faces, fainting with fear. But in this passage of Scripture, God is teaching us not to fear Him, but to approach Him openly and standing on our two feet, spiritually speaking. It can be said: Kneel Physically but Stand Spiritually, Stand Physically but Kneel Spiritually.

As we have seen, enter and come mean to move forward, to walk toward, right into God’s Presence. A New Testament verse, James 4:8, gives the same invitation, “draw near to God”. Think about it, God is inviting us to come into His Presence. How do we comprehend such a thing? Remember, at the burning bush, Moses was told to take his shoes off because he was on Holy Ground, yet we are invited to come into God's Presence anywhere, any place, shoes and all. (Exodus 3:5)

A friend of mine said, “I took my eyes off the Lord and instead of walking up to His throne, I have been crying outside the Gate and not realizing it was unlocked and that I could just go right in”. We hear Christians say that they bombard the Gates of Heaven with prayer. Why do they stay outside the Gates to pray, when they are welcome to enter, to walk right in?

How, then, do we express ourselves as we approach and move toward God? We use words that come from an attitude of thanksgiving and praise. We sing to Him audibly or silently, out of a singing heart. We are even requested to make a joyful noise unto Him. Colossians 3:16 says to sing to the Lord with Grace in your hearts, with Psalms, hymns and spiritual songs.

Not only does God want us to approach Him, He wants us to know Who He is and what He is like. We must know and understand that Our Lord is the One and Only God and King of the Universe and that He is Good, Merciful and Truthful. He will never change. He is the same, yesterday, today and forever. (Hebrews 13:8) James 1:17 says that “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above and comes down form the Father of lights, with Whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning”.

We ask, why does God want us to approach Him, to come into His Presence? Because He is our Creator and we are His creation, He loves us. We are His People, and the Sheep of His Pasture, He wants us to be near Him. John 4:23 tells us that He searches for true worshipers to worship Him. Responding to God’s invitation will fill our inner beings with the knowledge that He loves and cares for us. Being blessed by such knowledge will stir within us a desire to worship and serve Him with an overflowing gladness of heart.

THE BURDEN OF HABAKKUK!

As We Read This Book, We Can Understand Habakkuk, Because It Is Descriptive Of The World Today.

Habakkuk 1:1 - The burden which Habakkuk the prophet did see.
Habakkuk 1:2 - O LORD, how long shall I cry, and Thou will not hear! even cry out unto THEE of violence, and THOU will not save!
Habakkuk 1:3 - Why dost THOU show me iniquity, and cause me to behold grievance? for spoiling and violence are before me: and there are that raise up strife and contention.
Habakkuk 1:4 - Therefore the law is slacked, and judgment does never go forth: for the wicked compass about the righteous; therefore wrong judgment proceeds.

Habakkuk Stood Watch!! He Turned To GOD, Accepted His Reproof And Lived By Faith!!

Habakkuk 2:1 - I will stand upon my watch, and set me upon the tower, and will watch to see what HE will say unto me, and what I shall answer when I am reproved.
Habakkuk 2:2 - And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that reads it.
Habakkuk 2:3 - For the vision is yet for an APPOINTED TIME, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.
Habakkuk 2:4 - Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but THE JUST SHALL LIVE BY HIS FAITH.

In The Meantime - Until HE Comes, We Can Follow Habakkuk’s Example!! See The Words – Rejoice – Joy – Strength - Walk?

Habakkuk 3:18 - Yet I will REJOICE in the LORD, I will JOY in the GOD of my salvation.
Habakkuk 3:19 - The LORD GOD is my STRENGTH, and HE will make my feet like hinds' feet, and HE will make me to WALK upon mine high places.

GOD BLESS AMERICA AND DANIEL'S PRAYER
Daniel 9:3-19

GOD BLESS AMERICA

GOD has been asked over and over to Bless America, through the song GOD Bless America and with signs displaying the same message.

Let me say – GOD HAS BLESSED AMERICA! Now let me ask – what have the people in America done with all the blessings from God? Many in this country are spitting on the blessings and shaking their fists at the GOD WHO has given them.

How Is This So?

GOD has blessed us with freedom of religion. - Yet, as we have witnessed through the news, it would seem that it is becoming free for all, except Christians.

We are blessed with the Word of GOD being available in any shape, size and version. - How many in this country read it, once it is bought? How many follow its teachings? How many want to change what it says?

America has been privileged to carry the Gospel of JESUS CHRIST to the world. – But we are being denied the right to take it into our own schools, public places, judicial system and sources of government.

America is considered to be the first among nations. – How long will it be so, when our HEAVENLY FATHER and HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON, JESUS CHRIST, are not welcome in our governmental institutions, courts and schools?

The people in the days of Daniel were punished because of their sin. Any sin in America today? Watch Out! God still knows how to punish! This prayer of Daniel needs to be the prayer of the people of America today.

PRAYER OF DANIEL

Daniel 9:3 - And I set my face unto the LORD GOD, to seek by prayer and supplications, with fasting, and sackcloth, and ashes:
Daniel 9:4 - And I prayed unto the LORD my GOD, and made my confession, and said, O LORD, the great and dreadful GOD, keeping the covenant and mercy to them that love HIM, and to them that keep HIS commandments;
Daniel 9:5 - We have sinned, and have committed iniquity, and have done wickedly, and have rebelled, even by departing from THY precepts and from THY judgments:
Daniel 9:6 - Neither have we hearkened unto THY servants the prophets, which spoke in THY name to our kings, our princes, and our fathers, and to all the people of the land.
Daniel 9:7 - O LORD, righteousness belongs unto THEE, but unto us confusion of faces, as at this day; to the men of Judah, and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and unto all Israel, that are near, and that are far off, through all the countries whither THOU hast driven them, because of their trespass that they have trespassed against THEE.
Daniel 9:8 - O LORD, to us belongs confusion of face, to our kings, to our princes, and to our fathers, because we have sinned against THEE.
Daniel 9:9 - To the LORD our GOD belong mercies and forgiveness, though we have rebelled against HIM;
Daniel 9:10 - Neither have we obeyed the voice of the LORD our GOD, to walk in HIS laws, which HE set before us by HIS servants the prophets.
Daniel 9:11 - Yea, all Israel have transgressed THY law, even by departing, that they might not obey THY voice; therefore the curse is poured upon us, and the oath that is written in the law of Moses the servant of GOD, because we have sinned against HIM.
Daniel 9:12 - And HE hath confirmed HIS words, which HE spoke against us, and against our judges that judged us, by bringing upon us a great evil: for under the whole heaven hath not been done as hath been done upon Jerusalem.
Daniel 9:13 - As it is written in the law of Moses, all this evil is come upon us: yet made we not our prayer before the LORD our GOD, that we might turn from our iniquities, and understand THY truth.
Daniel 9:14 - Therefore hath the LORD watched upon the evil, and brought it upon us: for the LORD our GOD is righteous in all HIS works which HE does: for we obeyed not HIS voice.
Daniel 9:15 - And now, O Lord our GOD, WHO hast brought THY people forth out of the land of Egypt with a mighty hand, and hast gotten Thee renown, as at this day; we have sinned, we have done wickedly.
Daniel 9:16 - O LORD, according to all THY righteousness, I beseech THEE, let THINE anger and THY fury be turned away from THY city Jerusalem, THY holy mountain: because for our sins, and for the iniquities of our fathers, Jerusalem and THY people are become a reproach to all that are about us.
Daniel 9:17 - Now therefore, O our GOD, hear the prayer of THY servant, and his supplications, and cause THY face to shine upon THY sanctuary that is desolate, for the LORD's sake.
Daniel 9:18 - O my GOD, incline THINE ear, and hear; open THINE eyes, and behold our desolations, and the city which is called by THY Name: for we do not present our supplications before THEE for our righteousnesses, but for THY great mercies.
Daniel 9:19 - O LORD, hear; O LORD, forgive; O LORD, hearken and do; defer not, for THINE own sake, O my GOD: for THY city and THY people are called by THY name.

My JESUS, I Love Thee
Words by: William Ralph Featherstone, 1864.

My Jesus, I love Thee, I know Thou art mine;
For Thee all the follies of sin I resign.
My gracious Redeemer, my Savior art Thou;
If ever I loved Thee, my Jesus, ’tis now.

I love Thee because Thou has first loved me,
And purchased my pardon on Calvary’s tree.
I love Thee for wearing the thorns on Thy brow;
If ever I loved Thee, my Jesus, ’tis now.

I’ll love Thee in life, I will love Thee in death,
And praise Thee as long as Thou lendest me breath;
And say when the death dew lies cold on my brow,
If ever I loved Thee, my Jesus, ’tis now.

In mansions of glory and endless delight,
I’ll ever adore Thee in heaven so bright;
I’ll sing with the glittering crown on my brow;
If ever I loved Thee, my Jesus, ’tis now.
