By Visitors Virginia July 8, 1999 will be three years since I got saved. Making the decision to follow Christ is the best one I have made in my entire life. All I can say is that what I was into, I was astounded that GOD loved me enough to pull me out of. I was at a camp, and my best friend was the one to lead me to the Lord. The day I got saved, we had been talking about it, but I told her that I wasn't ready just yet. One of my other really good friends and I talked about it about three hours later. I told him the same thing. I wasn't ready yet. But I think that God knew that by that point, I was, but I was to proud to admit it. Later on that night, during the service, (one on SALVATION) I felt so heavily convicted, that by the end of the service, I RAN to the altar. I was the first one there, and the last one to leave. I will never regret making the decision to follow Christ. I LOVE HIM WITH ALL OF MY HEART, AND WITH EVERYTHING HE CREATED ME TO BE!!!!! Monica Linda Marie My daily routine was simple. Wake up, light up and get out of bed. This day, when I called our friends I was straight. "Hey, what's up?" I was surprised when she said, "I'd like to go to that huge church up the highway." "Yeah, sure," I said. Today I would wait to get loaded. After all, I usually waited until noon to start drinking. We arrived and went upstairs to what I thought of as, the lodge seats. I wanted to see downstairs so we sat in the front row. I can not remember the sermon. What I do remember was: "Who wants to accept Jesus into their hearts?" To my astonishment hands started going up everywhere . I was looking off left, and then turned to my right. Yow! My right hand was up as far as I could reach. With my left hand I literally pulled it into my lap, hoping that no one saw. I did not go to the altar that day, instead, I just wanted to go home. I kept shaking my head, thinking I would be able to clear it. I told my family that I had to go back. "I don't know what happened to me today, but I have to find out." Each time the church was open I was there. I finally got the answer to my question: "I was born again." Now for those of you who did not know me: I had smoked to get loaded, along with drinking, for four years. And now I had no desire for it. I did test it once and found out the devil is as real as God. The saddest part, the friends only went once. I am the lucky one, for I had a life changing experience. I know that Jesus is real and alive, and after 21 years I still love and serve Him. Al Here is an experience concerning witnessing for Christ. As a group of us sat around eating lunch, one man, who was a Christian, began to encourage one of the other men in the group to follow Christ. He picked the conversation up from a previous encounter. The man responded by saying that he didn't want to change his life style, he had a group of friends that he was devoted to and he owed it to them to stick with them. He thought following Christ would change that. He looked at me, expecting me to nod in agreement with him. Instead, I said, "When you meet your Maker, it will just be the two of you, you and God, your friends won't be there." Wish I could say the man was converted on the spot, but he wasn't. Hopefully someday he will be. Leo Jesus Christ is the only One Who can wash away my sins with His Blood. He is the Son of the Living God. Without Him, I'm a lost soul in a world of darkness. Mulraine
