Harmony Masonic Lodge No.22 A.F.M. News Letter for month of May 2003

Greetings Brethren,

I hope this letter finds you all in good health and spirits. Great news we have a fellow craft ready to be made a Master Mason. This degree work will be done on Saturday May 10^th, 2003, the degree will begin at 9:00 am with breakfast being served at 8:00 AM.

Brethren I would like to invite all of you out for this degree work, the past masters will be putting this degree on. We will do the degree in the down stairs of the lodge to accommodate those brothers who cannot make the trip up the stairs, so there is no reason not to come.

I will be traveling to Grand Lodge April 24-25, 2003, you can look forward to my report next month on the latest developments in our fraternity.

Brothers I am scheduling a clean up day for the lodge on May 32, 2003. This clean up will begin at 8:00 am and will end when the job is complete (hopefully mid-afternoon if enough show up to help). My plan is to clear the brush and bamboo bushes out of the corner and to clean out the shed. We seem to have a collection of things out there that are of no use anymore, (stoves, discarded garage sale items). Also the ridgeline on the shed has some holes which we will be fixing that day also. I would like to serve a lunch that day for those that come out to work.

Also please review the attached news of the next Blood Drive, which benefits us all. Brother Henderson has done a fabulous job with the Blood drive and I would like to thank him for his hard work.

Beaufort Chapter No. 133 O.E.S. News

Notice to those members who are also members of the Order of Eastern Star, or their wives who are members. Please pass this information to O.E.S. Members. Beaufort Chapter No. 133 will have their regular meeting on Tuesday May 6^th at 8:00 PM. They have not had any work for quite a while, but they will be initiating Brother Richard M. Reese, and his Wife Mary, into the order. This will be a special event, in that a dear fiend of theirs, Corvan Carpenter will be presiding as Worthy patron for the work. He is a Past Patron of his Chapter in Concordia Kansas. Sir Knight Carpenter is also Past Grand Commander of the Grand Commandery of Knights Templar of Kansas.

Brother Carpenter has made several visits to Harmony Lodge No. 22. He has planned his visits with Brother Richard and Mary at a time when our Lodge had a meeting, and will be at our meeting in May. Most likely he will stay over and attend our master Mason Degree on Saturday morning. Plan now to be with us, unfortunately I will be unable to be at the degree on Sat. Due to a prior commitment.
