I have discoid lupus. My scalp burns and itches. My hands are very red and bumpy. My face and neck area are also red and itchy. I wear sunscreen at all times and stay out of the sun. I have taken Plaquenell and Mytherotrexate and Predisone. Stopped the Plaq and Myth. when the redness was partially diminished. Am down to 10 mg. of Predisone every other day and trying to discontinue it completely. I can live with the redness but the scalp itch drives me crazy at times.
