Physically I am tired and achey. I am affected more emotionally by not being able to do all that I want to when I want to. My symptoms include dry eyes, joint pain, poor memory, and a facial rash. I have not felt satisfied with the health care I have received and do not believe the physicians are well-eduacated on this disease. I have the support of my family who care very much. I don't believe that I cope with this very well most of the time. I would like to tell my family that I'm sick and tired of being sick and tired. Yet, I am not a china doll, so please let me muddle through this until I ask for help. And I Love You.

Allison's Story
My lupus symptoms are joint pain, depression, extreme fatigue, and malar rash. I've also gained weigh since I was diagnosed. I have been satisfied with the health care I've received. I do have my family's support, but sometimes I think my lupus is difficult for them to accept. I deal with my illness through prayer and the closeness of my family. I would like to tell my family to please just listen to me and don't try and explain everything away.
