Hi! My name is John (Johnny to my family and close friends). I live in northwest Ohio near the shore of Lake Erie. I am married to a great woman, have 2 beautiful daughters, a twin brother (looks nothing like me!), 8 other brothers & sisters, two cats, lots of relatives, no mortgage, a little money, a few close friends, good health, an average golf game, and a very dry sense of humor...

My wife, Pat, is also my best friend. But we completely disagree about the benefits and use of computer technology. She is a die-hard anti-computer fanatic! Which you can interpret as... she's too stubborn to admit she finds computers or the internet of any use, even as she is viewing ANOTHER PAGE! she just found on the internet concerning one of her hobbies...

I work for LG Electronics as the mid-west regional service manager. My job keeps me involved with the newest devices in consumer electronics; DVD's, CDR's, LCD projectors, and digital receivers. I suppose my curiosity for learning 'How does that thing work?' has kept me at this career. After more than 30 years, I still find the challenge of working with electronics a great job!

Computers have also been one of my hobbies for over 30 years. I received my first training as a programmer in Fortran and Cobol back in the late sixties!! Due to the my 1A draft status at the height of the Vietnam war, finding a company willing to hire me was a deadend... so I ended up in electronics. But I never lost my interest in computers.
