The odds against the theory WE are the only intelligent lifeforms in the universe are ASTRONOMICAL! :-)
So the question is not are we alone, but how long until we make contact with any alien life.
We should be preparing ourselves and our offspring to become part of a new galactic family.
'The Truth Is Out There.'
And the answer will ripe apart our views about races, countries, our world, and our place in it all.
May we have the wisdom to unite as
Earthians
when we must face our new galactic neighbors.
P.S. Remember: When they come... they'll eat the fat ones first!
Cosmology
It is in our nature as conscious beings to question everything.
Who are we? Where did we come from? Are we alone and unique in the universe?
These are questions our ancestors have been searching to answer for centuries.
Information Overload
With the rapid pace of new information brought by the abilities of the Hubble Space Telescope, cosmology news has jumped to the forefront of our daily lives. Every month seems to bring a new discovery made by astronomers.
The first planet outside of our own solar system was discovered in May. A gaseous giant, 12 times the size of Jupiter, expelled by a twin solar system. The near future will bring the discovery of more planetoids, adding to our knowledge of the universe and ourselves.
As the new millenium begins, we are gathering enough information to lead some our leaders in astrophysics to make some amazing predictions.
Cosmologists feel confident that within our lifetime, the answer to most of these question may be in their reach.
