GEOCITIES
Yahoo boo-hoo
GeoCities is changing... but hopefully for the better... My fear is the same one I get as I watch large companies continually swallow promising smaller enterprises. They call it progress, I only notice a less caring company and fewer options. Diversity and competition improve the service to consumers. Consolidation puts the controls in the hands of fewer individuals and usually results in less innovation and no choice for us.

I guess time will tell if this is also true for the new Yahoo!Geocities.

Okay, I just fell off the soapbox...

If you found anything helpful or interesting, please take a moment to send me a comment, even if it's just a 'Hi! I was here'.

Thanks!

What's New At Interloper's In '99

December 12, 1999(Recap)
Where does the time go?!!!... It seems I never can find enough time to update much of anything. Here's a recap of changes made since September.

My Entrance Page has been changed to better explain the options available
(Hey! I added some color too...).
- The main change is to offer framed or non-framed initial view options.
- Please note that most of my pages need a javascript enabled browser (IE3+ or NS3+) in order to properly display and navigate.

A NEW Framed Access for the site. The old one is still there but a bit out of date and difficult to constantly update. (That's a constant project...)
- The access uses scripts to link you around the site.
- Beware of the Wampus!

A FREE JAVASCRIPT SAMPLES PAGE is in the works.
- There will be scripts available free that I use in my pages.
- Plus links to some great free scripts.

And the Magic Number Page was modified to respond better for quicker play.

The other site mantainance is proceeding slowly (Yuck!)
- All pages are being modified to display at various user resolutions.
- Dead and modified links are being corrected.

September 10, 1999(Recap)
Sorry for not updating this list recently... Over the past few months a lot has changed at Geocities(Yahoo/Geocities), and I have been busy too. Here's a recap of changes made this summer.

My Tips Pages have a new framed access.
- The cascading menu script on the left side helps in navigating the tips pages.

There have been a few minor changes to different areas, mostly cosmetic! (That's a constant project...)
- The entrance page has a new look.
- All pages are being modified to display at various user resolutions.
- Wampus Caves was moved onsite from AOL. Try to escape the caves.
