E're You Left Your Room This Morning, Did You Think To Pray?

1 Thess. 5:17 Pray without ceasing.
Mark 11:24 Therefore I say unto you, What things whatsoever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.

I will not "preach" to you here. This page is meant to bring comfort to the troubled and lift the spirit of the weary. I hope you have FAITH & TRUST in GOD to give 'unto every man, according to his needs'. There are truly Angels among us but, more importantly, Jesus and his angels are watching over us all, every minute of every day.
We all are burdened and in need of help from above. Some are ashamed to admit this to their family/friends. I don't understand this...I get through the day by admitting my need for Christ and his forgivness. But, for those who cannot say this to someone face to face...and for those in need of special prayer at this time...I hope you find comfort (and maybe a LITTLE knowledge) here.
Understand, my prayers will not save you or guarantee you release from your trouble. My only reason for offering this PRAYER REQUEST page is to give you a starting point in securing your relationship with GOD. I am not a healer or prophet or a direct link between you and Heaven. I AM A CHRISTIAN...nothing more or less. I would like to know I have a small part in showing others to Christ.
There are countless places in the Bible that offer comfort & hope for all situations. I will try to give you examples of some. Please know the references are limited only by the limits of my knowledge. I strive daily to increase my knowledge & understanding of the WORD. Study for yourself and mail me to help accomplish this effort.
NOW...Some of God's message to us

  • Matt.6:6 But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.
  • Matt.6:7 But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.
  • Matt.6:8 Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.

Even when we don't have the words, God does. He knows our needs better than we & gives answers to each prayer. Sometimes the answer is "NO", but his wisdom is always at work. Our job is to acknowledge our need.
  • Matt.6:31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?
  • Matt.6:32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.

We have probably all heard these words before but, they never lose their ability to remind me that I AM IMPORTANT TO GOD!!!
  • Matt.6:25 Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?
  • Matt.6:26 Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?
  • Matt.6:27 Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?
  • Matt.6:28 And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin:
  • Matt.6:29 And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
  • Matt.6:30 Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and tomorrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?
  • Matt.6:31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?
  • Matt.6:32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.
  • Matt.6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
  • Matt.6:34 Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

Do you feel you are the only one in need of God's love & mercy? THINK AGAIN...Jesus, as a man while on Earth, prayed for strength, courage and deliverence. The difference in his prayer and ours is he also prayed "THY WILL BE DONE."
  • Mark 14:32 And they came to a place which was named Gethsemane: and he saith to his disciples, Sit ye here, while I shall pray.
  • Mark 14:33 And he taketh with him Peter and James and John, and began to be sore amazed, and to be very heavy;
  • Mark 14:34 And saith unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful unto death: tarry ye here, and watch.
  • Mark 14:35 And he went forward a little, and fell on the ground, and prayed that, if it were possible, the hour might pass from him.
  • Mark 14:36 And he said, Abba, Father, all things are possible unto thee; take away this cup from me: nevertheless not what I will, but what thou wilt.
  • Mark 14:37 And he cometh, and findeth them sleeping, and saith unto Peter, Simon, sleepest thou? couldest not thou watch one hour?
  • Mark 14:38 Watch ye and pray, lest ye enter into temptation. The spirit truly is ready, but the flesh is weak.

I heard a song by Garth Brooks, titled "UNANSWERED PRAYERS". I submit to you there is no such thing. We sometimes just don't LIKE the answer. The following poem is meant to be a comfort and a guide to accepting the answers we are given.
AND GOD SAID "NO"

I asked God to take away my pride,
And God said, "No."
He said it was not for Him to take away,
But for me to give up.
I asked God to make my handicapped child whole,
And God said, "No."
He said her spirit is whole,
Her body is only temporary.
I asked God to grant me patience,
And God said, "No."
He said patience is a by-product of tribulation,
It isn't granted...it's earned.
I asked God to give me happiness,
And God said, "No."
He said He gives blessings,
Happiness is up to me.
I asked God to spare me pain,
And God said, "No."
He said suffering draws you apart from worldly cares
And brings you closer to Me.
I asked God to make my spirit grow,
And God said, "No."
He said I must grow on my own,
He will prune me and make me fruitful.
I asked God if He loved me,
And God said, "YES."
He gave His only son to die for me
And I will be in Heaven someday, because I believe.
I asked God to help me love others as much as He loves me,
And God said, "Ah,
Finally, you have the right idea."

Pray that you may not merely hear but, also perceive.
Not merely see but, also understand.

Rom 12:12 Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer;
Verse 13, Distributing to the necessity of saints; given to hospitality.
Verse 14, Bless them which persecute you: bless, and curse not.
Verse 15, Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep.
Verse 16, Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits.

Phil 4:6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

James 5:15 And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.
Verse 16, Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

I can't leave this subject without giving you some Biblical Food for Thought. Hopefully, you will look-up these scriptures in your Bible but, if you don't see fit to do that, I have them set so you can click to read them from this site. Please give some thought to what you read and remember the words are from GOD, not me.
