Save Roswell Campaign
Thank the tv gods that Roswell has been renewed... but only for 13 episodes! This last season had 21! Help the campaign to get the WB to sign them for more!

Note: I'm going to start putting temporary messages up here, since this is the place you'll most likely see first!

Check out TV Guide's "You Sexy Thing!" contest, to vote for who's sexier, Jason Behr or Brendan Fehr! (the results are a bit surprising, I think, but hey ...I agree with them! ^_~)

The Story
Liz Parker was a regular "oblivious" teenager one day, and then the next, life would never be the same.

One day at the restaurant that she worked at, a stray bullet hit Liz, threatening to kill her. Max, another student from her high school, W. Roswell High, miraculously healed her, then ran away. When Liz confronts him, she finds a truth that she would never have believed if she hadn't seen it herself.

Max revealed to her that he, his sister Isabelle, and their friend Michael, were alien survivors from the Crash of '47 in Roswell, New Mexico. Max also revealed to her (through a sort of telepathy) that he was in love with her. But after the stray bullet incident, the town sheriff begins to suspect things, and it is up to Liz, Max, and their friends, to prevent the others from discovering the aliens' true selves.

Created by Jason Katims (My So-Called Life). Produced by Jason Katims and David Nutter (The X-Files).

Quotes
About the show
"To me, one of the exciting things about the premise of the show is that the three alien characters in the show don't know about their history. From a writing point of view, it's exciting because as they discover their backstory, the audience is discovering it." --Jason Katims, from the WB website's "Feature" section

"It's just vital. When we did The X-Files, we would spend nights after an episode reading what people had to say. Our goal is to make this a show with intelligence and life-and-death stakes for the characters." --David Nutter, from TV Guide's Sept 25 1999 issue

"For me to sit here and to tell you that we are the only intelligent life form that ever existed would be very arrogant of me." --Jason Behr, from the WB website's "Feature" section

"Any teenager growing up and changing and experiencing life hasn't yet realized his or her full potential. On the show, the aliens are learning what their powers are and trying to figure out where they fit in this world and what they can achieve. You can apply that situation to a lot of people in high school." --Jason Behr, from YM's March 2000 issue

"I'm really excited about the friendship between Liz and Maria. They're best friends till the end, and it's nice to see girls like and trust each other on TV, not be catty. I've had some really close girlfriends growing up, and those friendships are what keep me going." --Shiri Appleby, from YM's March 2000 issue

"The whole alien-outcast theme allows us to explore the issue of prejudice. People in Roswell are afraid of the aliens and don't see them for who they are; they see what they think they are. And that's really the basis of all prejudice. Maybe kids will watch this and start to be more understanding and compassionate toward each other." --Katherine Heigl, from YM's March 2000 issue

"The plot's sort of reassuring. I had a teacher in high school who I swore was from another planet--he always acted the same, never had moods. So it would make sense to find out some people aren't from this world!" --Majandra Delfino, from YM's March 2000 issue

"Aliens and the supernatural are things we know very little about, so a well-done sci-fi show shapes and molds our views. You go watch a movie based on any significant historic period and you know what happens. But with this you don't know what to expect, what the aliens can do. There is no right answer." --Brendan Fehr, from YM's March 2000 issue

From the cast, in general
"My bestfriend is my big sister, Marieh. She's the yin to my yang--we totally balance each other. Whenever I go out with her, it's a guaranteed good time. And we both love to dress up and shop!" --Majandra Delfino about her older sister, from YM's April 2000 issue
