The Main Entry Foyer
and the centrally located Ballroom
decorated by CyDoc
A set of stone steps leads to the massive
double doors of the main entryway of the stone castle. On entry, there
is a huge foyer paneled in deep mahogany and oak, with a grand staircase
leading to the second floor. Smaller staircases branch off to the higher
floors from there, and a small staircase leads from the foyer to the basement.
Hallways to the right and left lead to the East and West wings, respectively,
and directly ahead, beyond the stairs, is the Grand Ballroom.
The ballroom has huge, double wooden doors and elaborate
matching wooden moldings along the ceiling. It is hung with rose and forest
silk wall hangings and drapes and lit by big glass chandeliers. There are
chairs along two of the walls and three sets of glass doors opposite the
entrance doors which lead out to the courtyard. There are eight sets of
doors in total: the main doors to the foyer; one to each side hall; the
three glass sets to the courtyard; and one on the left side leading to
a salon with a fireplace, couches, tables, lamps and a bar decorated similarly
to the ballroom with its own set of doors to the courtyard. Speakers for
the room's sound system were hidden high in the walls.
