Chili Ice, Clannad,
Dragon
Lady, Nibblet, Mike, and Methos
I was surprised at how humongous the room was. Methos
likes to have his ladies comfortable.
As you enter my room, the first thing you notice
is the iron, grapevine, four-poster bed. On the wall behind the bed hang
two Spanish swords. The bedding and linen are in different shades of white,
with several decorative pillow in silk, damask and cotton. There are white,
sheer tab top curtains on the canopy. They can be drawn closed for more
privacy. I have a fetish for linen, and I have quite a collection in different
colors and fabric. My favorite are the 100% silk sheets.
I would prefer to sleep outside, but that wouldn't
be such a good idea, considering the weather, so I had the ceiling painted
to look like the sky with clouds. The walls are done in a tromp l'oeil
mural of an English Garden (stone walls, ivy, a garden path, etc.) The
floor is a light oak color with a large area rug in forest green, gold
and amethyst. From the doorway, on the west side of the room there are
French doors that lead to a balcony overlooking the garden. I like to have
my morning coffee there.
On the other side of the room, opposite the French
doors, you must climb two steps. The wall is really a large paned window
with a sill. On the sill I keep my essential oils, bubble bath and soaps.
There is the clawfoot tub painted in pale taupe with ivy stenciled on it
as well. The tub is next to the wall where the window is, overlooking the
garden. An antique quilt rack holds my cream and nutmeg colored towels.
As with the linen, I have a fetish for towels. I have tons stashed in the
huge linen closet in all sorts of great colors. Of course, when the Master
visits it's blue that I use. Next to the tub, I have my entertainment center.
I love taking long baths while watching tv or listening to music.
My room, which is in a tower of the castle, has a
sitting area, bedroom with adjoining bathroom. Of course, all rooms are
soundproofed quite well! *wicked grin*
The sitting area has cream colored carpet. The furniture
is antique, dating back a few hundred years or so. It’s covered in a brocade
that’s cream colored, the wood, a dark cherry. Any throw pillows that would
be found would be made of a brocade in a hunter green. A few quilts in
the sitting room are either hunter green or cream polished cotton, made
in a trapunto fashion. Of course, there’s a laptop, along with a few other
things of modern technology hidden discreetly in an old armoire. A fireplace
of white brick is in the corner. There are a few things in some shelves
built into the walls. You’d find there some creamware, also known as Wedgewood.
A few pieces of alabaster, of which the favorite would be Michelangelo’s
David, of course, because the Master was the model for. Assorted books
would also be found there. The sitting area looks out into a tiny private
courtyard where the Master has been known to take a beer on occasion, watching
the clouds float by to relax.
The bedroom has a huge cherry wood antique sleigh
bed, which is the focal point of the room. The sheets are of a polished
cotton so fine that it’s softer than silk. The polished cotton trapunto
quilt covering the bed is so huge, that it lays on the thick cream colored
carpet by several feet. The throw pillows are of hunter green brocade,
same as the sitting room. Discreetly hidden in the bedside chest is a portable
cd player with two sets of headphones attached. In the corner is the same
type of fireplace found in the sitting room. One whole wall is mirrored,
with shall we say, storage areas behind them. These storage areas are quite
large, perhaps to house an unsuspecting “guest” on occasion. One of these
does have clothing in it, though. The first section that’s mirrored is
a hidden door the bathroom.
The bathroom has cream colored marble with dark green
streaks through it. In one corner is a fireplace, with the sink and bidet
in the raised area. There are steps going down, which lead to an area that’s
like a roman bath, large enough to accommodate at least 5 people easily,
if it were so desired. There is a long seat built into one side of the
tub, a switch for the jacuzzi and shower heads at the sides if a shower
is preferred to a quiet soak or millions of bubbles of a jacuzzi. Towels
of hunter green and cream are casually laid out, as if someone could be
coming in at anytime to take advantage of the huge bath.
Skylight and long windows, lots of natural light.
Plush comfy carpets and a king size bed with iron head and foot boards.
Stereo to die for and small bookcase speakers in all the corners. Massive
CD collection, mostly Blues and Classic Rock, with a smattering of Classical.
Lots of books in bookcases built into one wall; Science Fiction, Mysteries
and Erotica fill the shelves along with more mainstream classics and Non-Fiction.
Neutral colors on the walls. One wall houses the 'TOY' collection (they
don't call me kinky for nothing!), please help yourself -- but remember
to return them, the Master does love his toys. Small temperature controlled
wine cellar by the bed, filled with Vintage Bordeaux and Burgundy and plenty
of Champagne. Oh, and a bathroom takes up one end of the long room. Old
fashioned tub and double stall shower - candle holders on the shelf above
the tub and large hanging plants. Moonlight and candle light and a bottle
of great Bordeaux...now to find the Master!
Come visit anytime -- the door's never locked!
Nibblet was lucky enough to scarf up a tower, with
a suite of 4 rooms. Methos was going to turn it into a storage area, but
Nibblet was able to convince him to give it to her. Not That! The rooms,
Silly!
You enter into the sitting room and see a couch and
several chairs covered in hunter green leather. The tables, cabinet, and
shelves are all polished cherry wood. Floor length tapestries hide the
doors to the office and bedroom. The bathroom door is recessed into a corner.
French doors lead out onto a balcony shared with the bedroom. Two large
Austine Wood polages flank the sitting room fireplace. This fireplace has
a green marble mantel and heavy iron grating. The lamps are all Frank Lloyd
Wright inspired (although rumor has it one is an original).
In the office, a cherry bookshelf unit which takes
up one entire wall. There are drawers, cabinets and glass curios in this
massive unit: The center section is made of faux drawers, this unit pulls
out to reveal a desk/computer work station. All of the associated components
are hidden in the book shelf cabinets. There is a lighted work table across
the room with handy access to the craft and art supplies stored in the
cherry cabinets above. A comfortable overstuffed recliner sits next to
a floor lamp (is this the Lloyd Wright original?). This is the perfect
place to wrap up around a book and forget the world.
The bedroom is comfortable with a king size cast
iron sleigh bed and Amish style furniture -- dressing table, 2 wardrobes,
3 dressers, bed tables, rocking chair and comforter rack. There is a corner
entertainment center with pocket doors to hide the 52" Sony projection
TV, CD/Laser Disc Player and VCR. Surround sound speakers are recessed
into the walls and covered by the ivy leaf wallpaper. This thin membrane
does not affect the sound.
French doors lead off to the balcony, the view from
the tower room looks out over the gardens and the koi pond. White painted
wicker furniture offers a comfortable rest.
The bath has two doors, one from the sitting room
and one from the bedroom. There is a fireplace between the bedroom and
the bath. Glass doors and blowers send the heat into both rooms. Like the
rest of the room, the fireplace is white and gold. White marble with gold/brass
trim.
There are both a shower and a bathtub. The tub is
equipped with air jets for relaxing after a hard day of internet and Methos
cruising. The shower has double heads for conserving water with a friend.
The toilet is shielded from view by a white and gold wicker screen (you
never know when a guest might drop by).
