My symptoms include fatigue, aches and pains all over, headaches, malar flush, Raynaud's, Sjojern's, GI problems, vasculitits, Hypertension, Pleurisy -- and many others. Most of all, I am frustrated by the lack of understanding by friends, family, and physicians. While I believe the doctors I have seen are well-educated on lupus, I haven't been satisfied with the professional care I have received. I also do not feel that I have any real support from my family, which is very difficult. I wish they could realize that I don't want to feel this way, but I have no choice. I would like for them to try to be more understanding. In order to cope with this illness, I try to stay as positive as I can and participate in message boards and learn as much as I can about Lupus. I thank you, Gayla, for your help. I am thankful for others out there like you. It really helps just knowing someone is going through the same things.
