I am still in the process of blood work, and so have yet to be diagnosed with anything. Thus far, one test revealed that my RA Factor was elevated, but then told it was normal in a later test. The only treatments which have been recommended for the severe stiffness and pain in my knees and ankles is to use ice packs and take Tylenol... and Tylenol doesn't even have any anti-inflammatory properties! My doctor is still waiting for the ANA results.
I have complained about knee and other joint and muscle pain for at least 2 years now, following my back surgery... but no one will listen. Due to pulminary problems, I have been diagnosed with asthma and MVP. I've also been diagnosed with many other conditions, such as the beginning of cateracts, and the atrophy in my leg muscles was said to be a result of the back surgery. I've had an unexplained rash on one of my elbows, tingling in my fingers and hands, and many more. I am now trying to go into each doctor appointment armed with information. I feel they need all the help they can get, as I am not at all satisfied with the professional care I have received and do not feel that any of the physicians I have consulted are very knowledgable in Lupus.
I am very grateful for the support of my family and would just like to tell them all, "Thank you for your understanding and patience. Without your help, I couldn't have made it this far."
