WELCOME TO MY DAY..
IT IS NICE TO HAVE YOU SHARE IT WITH ME...
Well folks..I'd LOVE to be able to tell you all my toothy troubles are over and that I am back onto solids!
The lovely Dr Tina Nguyen, ever patient, is still understandably bemused as to why my teeth refuse to behave as others she has worked on, and she has actually thanked me for providing her with such useful experience.
But most of the pain has gone now and I can come off the antibiotics, so that the main thing, until the new crown is finished, will be to remind myself, now that I am more confortable, orally, that I must NOT bite down, or eat anything hard or crisp!
Anyway, we are still working on attatching a new tooth to the post Tina managed to insert, and not going ahead with an implant ,at this stage , but I have a feeling this is going to be a long haul, and not simple at all..and not inexpensive, either!
And I am daily looking at the temperatures in Alabama and Mississippi, where I am supposed to be right now, and comparing them with ours, and NOT enjoying what is proving to be a long, cold, traditional winter here, with lots of rain, which we do need, and fog and frost and windy days which I DON'T need.
So I did what women have been doing for ages, when they need a bit of a lift...I finally changed my hairstyle!
But I do have a wave in my hair, at last, which can grow, now, and I notice I have violets out in flower and the hyacinths are pushing through, and, though the deciduous trees aren't beginning to show new leaves yet, the Australian Natives are budding and beginning to bloom , and some of the native bulbs have bright petals already.
But not so!!!!!
That tooth that decided to divide in two , horizontally at the gumline, is still most reluctant to welcome an imposter into the mouth-family, and I am currently still eating very carefully in order to keep a very temporary crown in place a little longer.!
That's the good part. The bad part was that this is temporary crown number 4, all the others having done the "horizontal divide" at any hint of a BITE, even in a dish of icecream, at one stage, and all attempts to change that bite's direction failed, and the morning toothless condition had me hurrying , mouth determinedely closed , and very hungry, to the earliest possible dental appointment I could get, or to work with my smile depending on Bluetack!!!!
There was one memorable day when I actually attended the dental surgery three times!
I asked her if she thinks I could have an alternate future as a dentist's model but she just laughed.
And that is a dietary choice my reconstructed colon is finding quite irritating to put it delicately.
Is it not amazing how much difference to one's lifestyle one small pices of calcium can make!!!
Ignored all advice from everyone and put a home perm through my hair..
And then a colour!!
The hair hated it, of course, and went dry on the ends and didn't really want to coperate, but hey, they say a change is as good as a holiday...
(I've never believed that, myself, and I can't say I feel in any way as though I am dallying in Dixie! )
Life, as they say, goes on...
Just that some of life's seasons are less pleasant than others...
Love to everyone ,and everyone on our side!
