Real Name: Um, either unknown, or Bishop is his real name.
Powers: Bishop can absorb most energy blasts and convert it into bio-energy, which he uses as a blast.
Significant reletives: Shard, sister (In Bishops time, she is deceased. In our time, she exsists as a hologram)
Bishop is from the future. A semi-hellish future. Not as bad as "Days of Future Past", but it still sucks. It is one where the X-Men were slaughtered by a traitor. Where Mutants are Branded with an "M" on thier right eye, and where WAAAAY too many mutants use "bio-energy". All of humanity had been subjugated, and in what was, er, is, er, will be known as the "Summers Rebelion" Humans abd mutants rose up against thier oppressors, however, Humans still didn't like mutants very much, so it was decided that Mutants needed to police themselves, and so the XSE (Xavier's School Enforcers) was formed.
Bishop (along with his sister, Shard) grew up in a prison camp, but both joined and became officers in the XSE. While Mutant-human relations were begining to calm down, evil mutants were destroying everything. However, Shard was killed in combat, and Bishop blamed himself. Later, a time-travling mutant known as Fritzroy escaped from his prison, freeing several other evil mutants. At the time, Bishop and his gaurds (Malcolm and Randal) were exploring the reminants of the Morlock tunnles, when they came accross a recording of Jean Grey, broken, tathered, and begging for help. With a broken-up transmission, the only words were: "betrayed... by one of our own... should never have trusted... we didn't expect... " and was broken off as Jean was shot from off-screen and killed. Bishop hurredly went to speak to "the witness", the last man to see the X-Men alive. He went by the name "Lebuea". Gee, who could it be, and why suspect HIM of all people of betraying the X-Men? Here's a hint: He's Gambit, scum of the earth.
However, Bishop and his men were alerted to the breakout of Fritzroy and his followers. Fritz opened a time-portal to (where else?) the 20th century to (what else) reek havok and kill the X-Men. Bishop follewd him through, with his men in tow. In the ensuing battles, Malcom and Randal were killed, a host of evil-mutant bodies littered the floor, and several others remained free. The X-Men, suspicious of Bishop wearing an altered "X" insignia and suspicious of his claims, tried to stop him from killing Fritzroy. They let Bishop join the team, which for him was a dream come true. Along with this joining, many revalations were made. Jubilee recieved the formal title "The Last X-Man" (To which she replied "REALLY?! Cool..."), Bishops antics alone must have caused $10,000,000 in collateral damage (he eventualy chilled out), and that no matter what the X-Men do, the futer will always suck. The revelation of a traitor would also be teased at for years (it would eventualy be Proffesor X as Onslaught).
Bishop slowly began adjusting to our time, learning the joys of football ("But I see niether a foot nor a ball"), scarecrow making ("THIS is supposed to be a construct of Dr Doom? I've viewed your files and see no resemblance to the lord of latviera"), snowball fights, and all sorts of stuff we take for granted. He almost seemed to be enjoying himself. that is, until LEGION reared his Marge-Simpson-style-hair-head and revealed his master plan: Go back in time, kill Magneto. Bishop tried stoping him, but a bout of amnesia left him near-powerless. To Bad Legion killed Xavier, his dad... uh-oh (The rest of this story takes place Durring the Age of Apocalypse. But read on to see Bishops account first.) Bishop then wandered the earth, as Apocalypse took over. When the 1990s finaly cam back around, it was a completly different world. Mutants had risen to power under Apocalypse, and were killing humans by the millions. Magneto and his X-Men were the only thing that could stop them, so Bishop finaly found them, but came to oods against Magneto, for apparently letting Xavier die. Bishop convinced these X-Men (Quicksilver, Exodus, Sabretooth, Wildchild, Sunfire, Rouge, Dazzler, Banshee, Nightcrawler, Iceman, Storm, and Blink) that this reality was wrong. So dividing thier forced, along with using thier allies, they had procured the M'Kraan Crystal, Destiny, and Illianya Rasputin to send Bishop back to the past to stop Legion. Which he did. Bishop killed himself and Legion in an energy loop, but somehow, the memories of that bishop made thier way into the younger Bishop, who was able to return back to our 1990s.
With this information, Onslaught (Biding its time in Xaviers sub-concious, and causing lots of trouble) was able to procure a plan and he easily defeated the X-Men and could have killed them, had Bishop not dived into the way of his blast. Onslaught was eventualy defeated, and Bishop was pretty torn knowing that Xavier betrayed the X-Men, and not Gambit, like he thought.
While christmas shopping with Gambit, Rouge, Joeseph, Cannonball, Beast, and Trish Tilby, Gladiator of the imerial gaurd started causing a ruckus. He teleported Bishop, Rouge, Joeseph, Gambit, Beast and Ms Tilby onto a Shi'ar shuttle headed straight into the middle of a Phalanx invasion of the Shi'ar Empire. The X-Men defeated them, and Bishop and Deathbird (Lilandras sister) started having eyes for eachother... On the way back, thier ship came under attack, and Deathbird "captured" Bishop, convincing him the X-Men were dead (See Gambit for the real story). The two wound up on a planet and while half-hating eachother, they overthrew a trade-monopoly or something. Bishop and Deathbird later tried to get Bishop back to Earth, only to end up in an alternate future where the Shi'ar ruled. The Bastards.
