MARROW
Powers: Hyper-regeneration, Bones which can be pulled out easier than a scab, and slightly enhanced senses.
Significant relatives: None
After Marrow died, she got better, and under Calistos tutalage, Marrow tried to battle her demons, and a fight with Cable sort of helped that out. Then, durring Operation: Zero Tolerance, Spiderman taught her a lesson in humanity, but not before Calisto was almost killed as a result of a sentinels blast. Marrow promised to change her tune by joining the X-Men.
Since then, she has developed a messiah-complex for Archangel, a crush on Cannonball, an uneasy alliance with Storm, and she almost killed Wolverine by sticking one of her bones in his throat. Marrow has tried to do her best, and after a couple of battles alongside the X-Men, although she won't admit it, she wants to be a part of something good, and change for the better. We'll see what develops. She also is one of the few remaining members after everone apparently got up and left all at once.
Dr. Reyes
Powers:A Psioplasmic Bio-feild which extends six inches from her body when attacked by any ouside force(Kinetic, energybased, tactile, etc...). Note that she still feels the pain she would experience if she would have gotten hit normaly.
Significant Relatives: None.
When Operation: Zero Tolerance got underway, Dr. Reyes found herself under attack in her ER by Prime Sentinels. Iceman, the one X-Man left to do anything (Cyclops, Jean, Wolverine, Cannonball and Storm were captured while Beast, Joseph, Bishop, Gambit, and Rouge were in the Antarctic after returning from space), saved her. The two spent the next few days avoiding Sentinels and eventualy were joined by Marrow and Sabra. Together, they rescued Detective Jones' son from Bastion, and with S.H.I.E.L.D.s help, they shut that biznorch down.
Upon thier return tho the X-Mansion, Dr.Reyes helped in removing a bomb from Cyclops' chest, without the use of all thier fancy med-lab equiptment. Dr. Reyes doesn't appear to want to stay on the team, but her little "crush" on Beast and the fact that she believes she's needed by these people has made her opt to stay (getting fired from the hospital helped in that decision, as well). In fact, there have been more medical emergancies in the past several issues than ever before. Coincidence, I think not. Anyway, She recently left the team to pursue a medical practice in salem, so she could achieve her dream while still being able to help the X-Men. In fact, the X-Men use her office as thier mailing address!
Maggott
Real Name: Japheth
Powers: Two techno-organic "slugs" that can eat anything, which also act as his digestive system. Enhanced strength, blue skin, The ability to see the recent past of wherever he is, and perhaps more...
Significant relatives: None
Growing up in South Africa, Japheth and his family managed a life appart from the apparthed in the more populated regions. However, Japheth was getting sick, and couldn't eat. He was costing his reletivly poor family mucho moneys for doctors bills, and when he over-heard his mothers prayers for the lord to take him, he left, taking the family jeep. However, his brother, Lot, was taking a nap in there, and before "J" knew it, he had run out of gas in the middle of the dessert, with his younger brother in tow, both of them about to die.
Enter Magneto, who found the two near-death, with "J"s stomach about to rip open. Magneto used his powers to ease the boys pain and remove two robotic "slugs", who, oodly enough, "sealed" the opening behind them. Japheth went to sleep, only to wake up with blue skin, and to find out that his "slugs" had eaten while he slept. The slugs then re-entered his body, giving him a full stomach for the first time in months. Talk about freaky. Magneto returned the children to thier home, only to find out that white-supremisests had killed thier other older brother. Turns out "J"s dad went into the city to join the riots. Magneto took "J" there, and rescued his father my killing all the police soilders. Japheth hated Magneto for going so far, but what could he do? Turn on the man that saved his life?
Fast-forward about five to eight years, when everyone thinks this Joseph clown is really Magneto. Japheth, now calling himself "Maggott", starts to search the world for Magneto. He eventualy came across Psylocke and Archangel in New York City. Psylockes strange new teleportation powers take the three to Antartica, where Gambit was being held on "trial" by "Eric the Red" (who turned out to be Magneto). After that sheebang, Maggott helped the X-Men by scarring off the Juggernaugt, and by using his maggots to dispose of a bomb.
Maggott is thrilled to be an X-Man, and just wants to be a super-hero, like any other freak. He's made friends with Wolverine, but he and Cannonball keep going at eachother, mostly because Sams midwestern morality clashes with Maggotts flirtacious behavior.
Maggott recently left the team, and was going to join Generation X, but left to pursue a bounty hunter who tried to kidnap his slugs...
