COLOSSUS
Real Name: Piotr Malkavich Rasputin
Powers: Has the ability to change his flesh into organic steel. He has been known to withstand Wolverines adamantium claws. In this form, he can lift several tons and is impervious to harm.
Significant relatives: Magik (Illianya Rasputin, sister, deceased), Mikhail (Brother, possibly deceased).
Growing up on a commune farm in what was once the USSR (For all of you who just tuned in in the past 10 years, The USSR was a series of countries tied together as one communist region), Piotr Rasputins life was simple. Get up, eat, work, paint, eat, sleep. However, one day, his baby sister Illianya was unsuspectingly in the way of a run away tractor. Piotr responded by getting in the tractors way and stoping it by using his powers. Xavier happened by and told Piotr "Powers such as yours belongs to the world". These words inspired Colossus, so he joined Xaviers new X-Men team (Xavier was hurridly gathering new mutants to free the origional X-Men from Krakoa).
Colosus stayed on the team for a long time, but suffered for it. He lost his sister to belasco for 15 years, but she came back at the point when she was taken with new mutant and magical powers. Durring the Morlock Massacre, Colossus couldn't change back into his human form, resulting in him almost dying. Just after that, his brother Mikhail transported the remaining Morlocks to an alternate world, and apparently died (There is evidence stating he survived). And then a tragic loss. Illianya was the first victim of stryfes Legacy virus, and died. And it's evedently Mikhails fault (See Legacy Virus for details). Colosus snapped like a twig, and joined the newley returned Magneto and his Acolytes.
After cribbin' with his new homies on Avalon (a large space station), Holocaust destroyed the place in a feirce battle with Exodus. After his return to Earth, Colosus helped defeat Gene Nation, lead by Marrow, who was apparently killed. Colosus then joined his former friends Nightcrawler and Shadowcat in Excalibur. That lasted only a few months though, seeing as how the team recently disbanded. Colosus, Nightcrawler, and Shadowcat then re-joined the X-Men (Wolverine, Storm, Rouge, and Marrow) in time to stop the new "Evil X-Men" from destroying a nuclear payload, and is currently helping in the "search for Xavier".
