Havok didn't stay long, however, and quit along with most of the other X-Men after the Krakoa incident. He shacked up with Polaris, and the two tried to stay out of Mutan-human affairs. However, Havok's heroric side wouldn't let him stay out for long, as soon he re-joined the X-Men for a short time, if just to settle with Cyclops. Which he did. He then quit again. Geez, this guy's sporatic...
Havok wandered aimlessly, and decided to re-re-join the X-Men. However, he was very surprised to see former villians Rogue and Magneto on the team! And there was this non-mutant TV thing called "Longshot", a weak telepath, a bezerk Wolvie... this team needed help! Havok decided to come aboard. And what did he have to show for it? He died. Durring the Fall of the Mutants, the X-Men faked thier deaths, and were teleported themselves throught the seige perrilous, a gem whih gives it's users a second chance at life. Havok had the misfortune of ending up in Genosha, the Mutant-slave island. He was brainwashed into being a magistrate, a mutant commander controlled by the humans. The X-Men and X-Factor freed him of thier influence, but instead of thanking them all, ran off...
After the X-Men rescued X-Factor from the Shadow King, the five origional X-Men of that team re-joined the main team, leaving the government-sponsored team, and making it non-exsistant. Valarie Cooper approached Havok for the job of team leader, with new members Strong Guy, former Avenger Quicksilver, Jamie madrox-the Multiple Man, Ferral, and Havoks ex-squeeze Polaris. The team continued to have a rotating roster, but that was the basic core team. Alex and Lorna re-insitgated thier romance, unaware that thier team was just a government tool. This team went on many sucessful missions (and a few not-so-good ones),but Havok would once again become somebody's pawn. He was captured by Dark Beast, the Age of Apocalypse version of Beast having retreated to this dimension. Seeing as how Havok was his bastard boss in the AoA, "McCoy" dealt Havok punishemnt and torture most severe...
This served to make Havok into McCoys's willing slave. Alex soon broke free of McCoy's influence (after Onslaught in fact), and went postal. Havok's version of the brootherhood attacked an air-liner with Cyclops on board, who tried to talk to his bro, but instead was thrown out of the plane by Alex, who teleported away, leaving Cyke to fall, but Storm rescued him. Turns out Havok was just pretending and bidding his time whil he could try to find a way to get at McCoy, but instead felt that it was a better idea to re-form X-Factor (which, made up of mostly villians, was disbanded by the gov't). Multiple man, Polaris, Shard, and members of the X.U.E. (Xavier's Undergroud Enforcers, a vigilante version of the X.S.E). However, Havok "died" shortly thereafter onbaord an aircraft which exploded when one of the XUE members tried to get back to thier own time...
However, Havok's conciousness wound up in an alternate reality just as that reality's Havok died at the hands of a Sentinel. Now he's dealing with Madelyne prior as a wife, Angel as a deamon, Storm is a vampire, Iceman's touch kills, and Beast is dumb.
