Tuesday, October 1, 1878

I let S. ELLIOTT have some med for Ed. I went to Hiram GRIFFINs to see him & Sally & Alice. I went to J. WIERs to see Lennie. I sold John DEVOL twenty five cents worth of med. I went to Steve TRUEBLOODs to see his wife. I let Jennings BURGESS have some med. I went to Lafe TRUEBLOODs to see him. I let Owen FISHBACK have some med. I went to Nancy Ann TURNERs to see Jake TARVIS. I let Will HUNT have some med. Adam BUTLER brought me a load of corn. I let Will TRUEBLOOD have some med. It was a fair day, rained PM.

I let Mollie HARMON have some med for which & on acct she paid me one dollar and a half. I went to Stephen TRUEBLOODs to see his wife. I let Mary Jane WILSON have some med for Wildy. I let Perry WILLIAMS have some med for Tommie. I let Sam BURNAM have some med. I went to Stephen JOHNSONs to see Wm L. STAGGS. I sold George BROCK thirty cents worth of med. I sent Alice RAY some med. I went to Z.J. HUNTs to see his wife. I sent Katie TRUEBLOOD some med. It was a fair day.

I let Thomas SWANEY have some med. I sent Adam BUTLER some med. I went to Stephen JOHNSONs to see W.L. STAGGS. I sent Johnithan KIRKHAMs wife some med. Nannie DIX paid me fifty cents on acct. I let J.F. QUINN have some med. I went to Terre Haute. I paid L. GOODMAN Jr. eighteen dollars and one half for a suit of clothes. I paid B. & A. five dollars and left an order for some med. I sold Mollie HARMON one dollar and one half worth of med. I paid forty cents for dinner for my horse & myself. I sold Nannie DIX twenty five cents worth of med. I let David POUND have some med for (????). I went to John DEVOLs to see his wife. I let Press KESTER have some med for Lois. It was cloudy A.M & P.M.

I went to Emily PIETYs to see Edith. I went to Nannie DIXes to see Oscar. I let Wm GRIFFIN have some med. I went to Hiram FRAIKS & Set a fractured forearm for Marion. I let Z.J. HUNTs wife have some med. I let Amos ELLIOTT have some med for Effie. I sent Martha FISK some med. It was a fair day & light freeze.

I went to Nannie DIXes and she paid me three dollars on acct. I went to the Baptist church to hear MARLOW. I went to Hiram FRAIKS to see Marion. I went to S.M. GAPENs to see him. I went to Tom STEVENS to see his wife. She presented him a girl. It was a fair day.

I paid Press NASH fifty cents for five pounds of lard. I paid J. WIER thirty cents for a lamp. I sent Adam BUTLER some med. I went to John SHOEMAKERs to see Taylor PEARSON & son & Daughter. Hiram ROSWELL hauled me some hay from Ebb LLOYDs. Joe POWERS sent me two loads of wood. Taylor PEARSON paid me two dollars and twenty five cents on acct. I went to Z.J. HUNTs to see Nellie. It was a fair day.

Friday, October 25, 1878

I sent Sam BURNAM some med. James LOVELACE paid me forty cents on acct. Early PIETY paid me seven dollars and seventy five cents on acct. It rained a little P.M.

Saturday, October 26, 1878

I went to John SHOEMAKERs to see Taylor PEARSONs son and daughter for which he paid me two dollars and twenty five cents. Frank DAVENPORT paid me seventy five cents on acct. Press KESTER paid me five dollars on acct. I went to Charley McDONALDs to see him. I let Press KESTER have some med. I paid Press NASH twenty five cents for pork. It was a rainy day.

Sunday, October 27, 1878

I went to the Christian Church to hear WILSON preach. I gave the church five cents. I went to Sunday school. I gave the School five cents. I sold Joe WRIGHT twenty five cents worth of med. It was a fair day P.M. Cloudy A.M.

Monday, October 28, 1878

I paid twenty cents for Soap. I let Riley POGUE have some med for which & acct he paid me fifty cents. I sent BUNTIN & ARMSTRONG twenty dollars and an order for some med. I handed Riley LISTON four dollars to bring me some Coal. John HUNT paid me six dollars on acct. I let Perry WILLIAMS have some med. I let Ed STEVENS have some med. I let Docia ERNEST have some med. I let Josie ETHRIDGE have some med. I went to Homer MORGANs to see Barr. I let Z.J. HUNT have some med for Nellie. It was a clear day.

Tuesday, October 29, 1878

I paid Press NASH fifty cents for beef. Perry WILLIAMS brought me nine bushels of potatoes for which I agreed to allow him six cents a bushel on acct. I went to Homer MORGANs to see Barr. I buried my potatoes. Adam BUTLER brought me ten bushels of corn on acct. I paid twenty cents for a peck of sweet potatoes. It was a fair day.

I let Sarah LISTON have some med. She paid me seven dollars on acct. I let Wm. BAILEY have some med for Press. He paid me three dollars and seventy five cents on a note I held against him. I paid Press NASH forty cents for beef. I let James ELLIOTT have some med for Roscoe. I paid twenty cents for a Slate. I sold G. DIX twenty five cents worth of med for Emma ERNEST. I credited Mrs. GOBINs acct by fifty lbs of flour. It was a little cloudy P.M.

Thursday, October 31, 1878

I went to Press KESTERs awhile. Solomon HAUGER sent me thirty two pounds and a half of meat at seven cents per pound. Joe POWERS hauled me twenty five bushels of coal. Jack ROMINE hauled me eighteen bushels of coal he handed me two dollars and five cents What was left of the four dollars I handed to Riley LISTON. It was a fair day.
