Sunday, December 1, 1878
I let James HAUGER have some med. I went to Clem STEVENS to see him. I went to Sallie FRAIKS to see her. It rained all day.
Monday, December 2, 1878
I went to Mrs. GOBINs to see Sammy. I went to Adam BULTERs to see Mattie. I let David SHOEMAKER have some med. I went to J.W. ELLIOTTs & got one pick of Beans for which I agreed to allow him thirty five cents on acct. I let Press KESTER have some med for Lois. I sent Anna ROMINE some med. It was a fair day.

I went to Clem STEVENS to see him. I went to Z.J. HUNTs to see his wife. I let Marion KIRKHAM have some med for his wife. It was a fair day.
Wednesday, December 4, 1878
I went to Perry WILLIAMS to see his wife, she presented him a boy at half past six o'clock. I let Sammy GOBIN have some med. I went to Clem STEVENS to see him. I stopped at Wm. PADDOCKs and let his wife have some med. I went to Adam BUTLERs to see Mattie. I sold & sent Riley POGUE some med for Nettie. I went to Z.J. HUNTs to see his wife. [Weather report unreadable].

I let Dr. LANE have some med. I went to try to collect some but failed. I went to Press KESTERs a few moments. I went to Charley McDONALDs to see him. I let James HAUGER have some med. It was a fair day.
Friday, December 6, 1878
I went to Clem STEVENS to see him. I let Ed STEVENS have some med. I went to Charley McDONALDs to see him. I went to Press KESTERs and got seven pounds of pork. I paid thirty cents for Starch, Matches & candy. Perry WILLIAMS hauled me fourteen bushels of corn. I went to Press KESTERs to see him. It was a little cloudy.
Saturday, December 7, 1878
I sold Riley POGUE twenty five cents worth of med for Nettie. I went out trying to collect some but failed. I let Dona FISK have some med. I paid twenty five cents for Soda Oysters & crackers. It was a fair day.
Sunday, December 8, 1878
I let Tom STEVENS have some med. I went to the Christian church to hear LAYMEN. I went to Press KESTERs to see Lois. I gave the christian church five cents. I went to the Baptist church to sunday school. It rained most of the day. Snowed before day.
Monday, December 9, 1878
I let Resin HUNT have some med. I went to the shoeshop to get Rob HAUGER to patch my boot. I handed Scarlet WATSON twenty cents for his wife. Balance on forty pounds of grapes I got of [off] her this fall. I let Wm. BAILEY have some med for Press. I let Frank MOORE have some med for which & on acct he paid me two dollars and fifty cents. I sold & sent Letha HUNT sixty cents worth of med. I let Frank DAVENPORT have some med. It rained & snowed all day.

I went to David KILIANs to try to collect some money but failed. I let David KILIAN have some med for Lois. I let Tom STEVENS have some med for July. I sent Scynthia ROBISON some med. I let Press KESTER have some med for Lois. I went to Clem STEVENS to see him. It was a little cloudy.

I paid one dollar for sugar. I handed Emma twenty five cents. I went to Hugh WIERs to see him. I sent BUNTIN & ARMSTRONG five dollars and an order for some med. It was a fair day.
Thursday, December 12, 1878
I went to Clem STEVENS to see him. I stopped a few moments at Sallie HUNTs. I went to John HUNTs & Phil CRUMM gave me an order on John HUNT for six dollars and eighty five cents. John HUNT paid me the same. I paid ten cents for a pen & penholder. I went to Press NASHes to see him. It was a fair day.
Friday, December 13, 1878
I paid twenty cents for coal oil. I let Leander WILSON have some med for Joe. I let Mary Ann FRAIKS have some med. I went to Preston NASHes to see him. Calvin HANLY paid me six dollars and let me have a hog that weighed one hundred and eighty eight pounds net. For which I agreed to give him a receipt in full for what he owed me. I let Tom STEVENS have some med for Cora. I let Jim ROMINE have some med. I paid ten cents for milk.

I went to Preston NASHes to see him. I let Press KESTER have some med. I paid twenty cents for a barrel to salt my meat in. I went to Robt. PIETYs to see him. I let Ann MEEKER have some med for the baby. I went to GOBINs Mill and got fifty pounds of flour. It was a cloudy day.

I went to Preston NASHes to see him. I went to Robt. PIETYs to see him. I stopped at Leander WILSONs to see Joe. I stopped at J.L. WATSONs to pull a tooth for his wife. I went to W.R. MORGANs & he paid me five dollars on acct. I went to Daniel KESTERs & he paid me six dollars on acct. I went to V. MORGAN Sr. & he paid me four dollars on account. I sent Anna ROMINE some med. Jack ROMINE hauled me a load of wood. I went to Hiram FRAIKS & reduced & bandaged a fractured arm for Marion. It was cloudy, spit snow.

I went to Preston NASHes to see him. I went to Robt. PIETYs to see him. I went to Tom STEVENS to see him. I went to Clem STEVENS to see him. I let Mont STEVENS have some med. Preston NASH departed this life. [Weather report unreadable].

I went to Robt. PIETYs to see him. I stopped at Cal HANLEYs to see Elijah & Restis. I let Press KESTER have some med for his wife. I let Marion KIRKHAM have some med. I sent to Charley McDONALDs some med. I let Will PADDOCK have some med. I sent Ann MEEKER some med for the baby. James CUTSINGER paid me three dollars on acct. It was a fair day.

I went to Jack ROMINEs to see his wife. She presented him a boy. I went to Robt PIETYs to see him. I went to Clem STEVENS to see him. I went by Tom STEVENS to see him. I let Press KESTER have some med for Lois. I sent Ann MEEKER some med for the baby. J. WIER paid me five dollars his & his fathers acct. J. WIER loaned me fifty dollars. Calvin HANLEY paid me one dollar and thirty five cents on acct. I went to Z.J. HUNTs & he paid me ten dollars on acct. I let Press KESTER have some med for Lois. It was a little cloudy.

I went to Terre Haute. Wm. STOUT handed me five dollars that Johnnie BROWN left there for me. The Treasurer paid me twenty five dollars for the poor practice for the two quarters ending Dec. 1st. I expressed F. POUND one hundred and twenty five dollars and paid forty cents expressage. I paid BUNTIN & ARMSTRONG nine dollars for med. I paid forty cents for dinner for myself & horse. I handed the National State Bank one hundred and five dollars that Z.J. HUNT handed me for them. I paid ninety five cents for a diary for seventy nine. Robt. PIETY departed this life. It was a cloudy day.

I went to Press KESTERs awhile P.M. I spent the remainder of the day at home. It was a little cloudy.
Monday, December 23, 1878
S.M. GAPEN paid me five dollars on acct. I paid C. HARPER ten cents for yarn. I went to Tom STEVENS to see him. I put a medicine case in that John DEVOL built for me. I pad S.E.K. FISK five dollars in money and allowed him ten dollars on acct as rent on the house & stable that I pave been occupying since Oct. 15th & that made us even until Jan. 1st, 79. It snowed some, fair awhile.

Alex WINGLER paid me fifty cents on acct. I let Frank MOORE have some med for his wife. I paid sixty cents for oysters & crackers. It was a fair day.

I went to Frank MOOREs to see his wife. I went to Sallie HUNTs to see her. Joe HAMILTONs wife paid me one dollar Joes acct. It was a clear day.
Thursday, December 26, 1878
I let Henry FRAIKS have some med for his wife for which he let me have thirteen quails. I went to Press KESTERs to dinner. Caleb KIRKHAM sent me one dollar and fifty cents on acct. I paid fifty two cents for a dress pattern for Clemmie PERRIE. It snowed about two inches.

I let Lafe TRUEBLOOD have some med. I let Stephen BRIDWELL have some med for Pet. It was fair most of the day.

I got Rob HAUGER to sew a (br??le) on my Pill sacks. I sent Press KESTER one dollar and thirty five cents worth of med. I went to Riley PIETYs to see Julia. I let James HAUGER have some med. It was a fair day.

I went to Social meeting at the Christian church. I went to Riley PIETYs to see Julia. I went to Z.J. HUNTs to see him. I sent Clem STEVENS some med. It snowed A.M.

I went to Z.J. HUNTs to see him. I paid five cents for a lemon. I went to Riley PIETYs to see Julia. James ELLIOTT & James RICE killed a hog for me that I bought of [off] A.J. LANE. It was a fair day.

I went to Riley PIETYs to see Julia. I sent David SHOEMAKER some med. I paid thirty cents for soap. I went to John FINTONs to see Will. I let Simion ELLIOTT have some med for his wife. It rained awhile P.M.
