Friday, March 1, 1878
I went to Polk GOBINs to see his wife. I went to John DEVOLs to see his wife. I let John HUNTs wife have some med for which she paid me seventy five cents. I went to Wm ELLIOTTs to see him. I paid five dollars board to Emma WIER. I paid A.J. HARMON seventy five cents in money and twenty five cents on acct for Stable rent last month. I pulled eight teeth for Emma ERNEST for which & med she paid me seventy five cents. I let Chart MORGAN have some med for self. I went to John SHOEMAKERs to see Harrison HOWLETs wife. I paid B.H. DIX twenty cents for Sugar. It was a fair day.

I went to John DEVOLs to see his wife. I went to Wm ELLIOTTs to see him. I went to Polk GOBINs to see his wife. I let Wm BAILEY have some med for his wife. I went to Joe TRUEBLOODs to see Chauncey. Robt. PIETY paid off a ten dollar note I held against him with two months interest. I paid Wm HAUGER one dollar and ten cents which made us even up to date. Wm FRAIKS paid Wm HAUGER fifty cents the Balance due me. HAUGER paid it to me. I sold Milton PIETY twenty five cents worth of med. It rained some, March weather.

I went to John DEVOLs to see his wife. I went to Wm ELLIOTTs to see him. I went to Joseph THOMPSONs to see his wife; she presented him a girl. I went to the Baptist church at night to hear MARLOW. I handed B.H. DIX an order to send to BUNTIN & ARMSTRONG for med by the hacks tomorrow, Which order contained twenty dollars. It was a rainy day.

I went to John DEVOLs to see his wife & Josie. Mary WEEKS paid me thirteen dollars and forty cents on acct. I went to Wm ELLIOTTs to see him. I paid A.J. HARMON fifty cents for two dozen oats. I let James HAUGER have some med. I let Colonel FARRAND have some med. I sent V. MORGAN Jr. some med. I went to S.C. RYNERSON to see him. I paid five cents for sugar. I sent Frank MONTGOMERY some med by High ROSWELL. I went to the Baptist church to hear MARLOW. I let Jack HARMON have some med for his wife. It was a clear P.M.
Tuesday, March 5, 1878
I went to Wm ELLIOTTs to see him. I went to Terre Haute. I paid Wm STOUT thirty five cents for dinner for my horse & self. I got some instruments & med of [off] BUNTIN & ARMSTRONG that cost one dollar and seventy five cents. I paid three dollars to have a dozen photographs taken. I handed the auditor an envelope containing a bid for the Poor Practice also a bill for the poor practice for the last four months. I let A.J. HARMONs wife have some med. I let Asa HAMILTON have some med for his wife. I let Sallie HARMON have some med for Mandy. I went to the Baptist church to hear MARLOW. J.M. WATSON handed me five dollars for John CARR. I handed CARR the same. It was a fair day.

I went to Wm ELLIOTTs to see him. I sent Charley WARNER some med by his wife. I let Clem STEVENS have some med he gave me his note for it and acct. I paid Wm HAUGER twenty five cents for a blank note book. I went to Temperance meeting also to hear MARLOW Preach. It rained some.

I went to Wm ELLIOTTs to see him. I let A.J. HARMON have some med for his wife. I let Emma LISTON have some med for her brother. I went to Colonel FARRANDs to see his wife. Jennie TURNER paid Wm HAUGER 4.95 cents & he paid me. It was a fair day.

I let Colonel FARRAND have some med for his wife. I paid B.H. DIX five cents for a spoon and twenty five cents for sugar. He paid me forty cents on acct. I went to Press KESTERs awhile P.M. I sold Cal HANLY fifty cents worth of med. I let Chart MORGANs wife have some med for Francis. I handed Wm HAUGER one dollar to subscribe for the Terre Haute Express for me. I let Mandy HARMON have some med. It was a fair day.

I went to the Christian Church to hear LAYMEN. I let Wm WIER have some med. I let S. ELLIOT have some med. I gave the church ten cents. I let Z.J. HUNT have some med for his wife. I sold Annie WHITE ten cents worth of med. I went to Cal HANLYs to see Johnnie STRANNAHAN. I went to Wm ELLIOTTs to see Pollie HARMON. I went to church and went home with Miss Katie GOBIN. I gave the Baptist church twenty five cents. It was a rainy day.

I went to Perry WILLIAMS to see his wife. I let Clem STEVENS wife have some med. I sent Sarah LISTON some med. I went to the Baptist Church to hear MARLOW [written at top of page....."Marlow - Romans 8th C."]. I handed Z.J. HUNT twenty five cents to help buy Rev. MARLOW a suit of clothes. It was a fair day.

I sold James PIETY twenty five cents worth of med. I let Rob HAUGER have some med. I went to Temperance meeting also to hear MARLOW preach. I paid five cents dues to the Temperance society. It rained some.

I paid ten cents for sugar. I went to the school house to Literary meeting. It was a little cloudy.

I went to John DEVOLs to see Arthur. I went to Wm ELLIOTTs to see Polly HARMON. I sold Wm GOBIN twenty cents worth of med. I paid Wm HAUGER two dollars for collecting for me. I let James HAUGER have some med. I pulled seven teeth for Emma ERNEST for which and med she paid me seventy five cents. I paid Rebecca WIER four dollars and a quarter in money and three quarters on acct board bill up to tonight. I paid five cents for candy. I went to the Baptist church to hear Fusen MARLOW & CARR. It was a fair day.

I pulled a tooth for Nelson CHRIST and let him have some med for his wife. I let David POUND have some med. I went to Z.J. HUNTs to see Nellie & gave Nellie and Lois KESTER a photo of mine apiece. I let Jake FRAIKS wife some med for Commy. I let Calvin HANLY have some med for his wife. I sold Wm HAUGER twenty five cents worth of med. It was cloudy part of the day.

I let Chart MORGAN have some med for his wife. I went to the Baptist church A.M. I sent Homer MORGANs baby some med. I went to the Baptist church at night to hear MARLOW & CARR. It was a little cloudy.

I went to Solomon HAUGERs to see Roscoe. I went to Wm ELLIOTTs to see Polly HARMON. I pulled four teeth for Mary WEEKS for which & med she paid me fifty cents. I went to B.H. DIXes to see Oscar. I went to Clem STEVENS to see Monts baby. I let Cal HANLY have some med for his wife. I let Emma LISTON have some med. I sold Caleb KIRKHAM ten cents worth of med. I paid fifteen cents for postage stamps, twenty five cents for a box of collars, ten cents for eatables. Wes FARRAND paid Wm HAUGER seventy five cents my acct against him. It cleared up P.M.

I went to Wm ELLIOTTs to see Polly HARMON. I went to Solomon HAUGERs to see Roscoe. I helped Miss Emma WIER clear the rubbish off of the yard. I have the Literary Society one dollar to help procure music. I went to the School House to the Literary preparation. It was a clear day.

I helped Miss Emma WIER clean of [off] the yard awhile P.M. I went to Marion KIRKHAMs to see his wife. I let Cal HANLY have some med for his wife. I went to the Temperance meeting. It was a clear day.

I went to Curt TRUEBLOODs to see Lincoln. I sold Jacob FRAIKS seventy five cents worth of med. I let Josie DEVOL have some med. I went to the Christian church to social meeting. I let A.J. HARMONs wife have some med. I went to Marion KIRKHAMs to see his wife. I pulled a tooth for Adrian YEAGER. It was a little cloudy.

I sent BUNTIN & ARMSTRONG ten dollars and an order for some med. I sold Mary WEEKS sixty cents worth of med. B.H. DIX paid me one dollar and thirty five cents on acct. I paid him fifty cents for a shoe brush. I went to Marion KIRKHAMs to see his wife. I let Frank HARMON have some med. I sent Sarah LISTON some med. I attended the Republican convention held at the Schoolhouse. I sent John DEVOLs wife some med. My med from BUNTIN & ARMSTRONG cost four dollars and twenty cents. They sent the remainder of the money back to me. It was a fair day.

I went to Sallie FRAIKS to take my clothes to have them washed. I let John Sr. WATSON have some med for his wife. I went to the School House to hear Jesse HARPER speak on that greenback question. I let Tom STEVENS have some med for his baby. I let John W. CLARK have some med. Thomas MEYERS paid me five dollars on Sarah MEYERS acct. Calvin HANLY paid me three dollars on acct. It was a clear day frosted last night.

I went to the Baptist church to prayer meeting. I went to Sr. V. MORGANs to set an arm for Joe THOMAS that he had got broken by being thrown from a colt. It was a fair day.
