THE DIARY - April

I took breakfast at Press KESTERs. Charley CLARK paid Wm HAUGER one dollar that CLARK owed me. HAUGER kept the dollar. I paid Rebecca WIER four dollars and fifty cents in money and fifty cents on acct. I let Tom STEVENS have some med for his baby. I let G.W. MARTINs son have some med. I let Wm KEEGAN have some med. I sent Joseph THOMAS some med. I sold Amos ELLIOTT twenty cents worth of meds. I went to Sarah LISTONs to pull a tooth for her. I let her have some med. It was a fair day.

I sent Isaac BEAUCHAMPs wife some med. I went to Wm ELLIOTTs to see his wife. I stopped at Isaac BEAUCHAMPs to see his wife. I went to Henry FRAIKS to see his wife. I took dinner at Levi OXENDINEs. I let him have some med for his baby. I went to Sr. V. MORGANs to see Joe THOMAS. I went to the Christian Church to Prayer meeting. I went home with Miss Katie GOBIN. It was a fair day.

Friday, April 5, 1878

I got one dozen oats of [off] A.J. HARMON. I handed Wm HAUGER ten cents to buy apples. I paid fifteen cents for postage stamps. I let David KILIAN have some med for his baby. I went to Ben DEBAUNs to see James PIETY. I went to the Baptist church to Prayer meeting. I went home with Miss Emma WIER. It was a fair day.

I went to John SMITHs to see Sade SHATTUCK. I went to Ben DeBAUNs to see James PIETY. I sold James ELLIOTT fifteen cents worth of med. I paid ODELL seventy five cents for cleaning out my watch. I let Mary Ann FRAIKS have some med. I sold twenty five cents worth of med. Sade SHATTUCK paid me three dollars on acct. I paid John SMITH forty cents for a bridle rein. I let V. MORGAN Sr. have some med for Flora. I let James HAUGER have some med. B.H. DIX departed this life this morning. I went to Nannie DIXes to see her. It was a fair day.

I went to Wm ELLIOTTs to see Elizabeth HARMON. I went to Sarah LISTONs to see Isa. I went to Ben DeBAUNs to see James PIETY. I went to Johiah KEATONs to see John BAKER. He was dead when I got there. I went to Nannie DIXes to see Oscar. I let Sarah Francis McHUGH have some med. I paid twenty cents for suspenders. I sold Jake FRAIKS seventy five cents worth of med. I went to Marion KIRKHAMs to see his wife he paid me fifty cents for med. James HAUGER paid me ten dollars borrowed money. It was a little cloudy.
