Today I was 2-3 cm, so I did make a little progress =) 80% effaced, too! She's still at a -3 station, though. I gained one pound since last week, so not too bad! I told him that the baby hasn't been moving much at all lately, but the OB said it's normal for this stage of the game...which kind of worries me, because I would think they would want to do an NST to make sure things were OK...you never can be too cautious, I think...but they didn't do one. Also, when he checked her heartrate, it was very slow...slower than
it's ever been...the machine he used doesn't give a reading, but he said it sounded fine. I guess I need to quit worrying...after all, he's the one with MD after his name!
I've had cramps since I left the office, but probably just from the pelvic check. He said I might go before Friday, but who really knows? He asked me if I wanted to, and I said yes, but that I was fine if I didn't, because I only had to be
pregnant for 4 more days! Also, I asked him if I was going to get the gel pill when my induction starts, and he said no, that I am too far along to need that (dilation/effacement wise) and that they'll just start me on pitocin and I can get my epidural ASAP! =) He said he expects me to go very quickly
since I am almost 3 cm and almost fully thinned out. Let's hope he's right!
So now, we wait...
