Dos Ojos Traverse

Dos Ojos means two eyes. Our second dive of the day was the 6000 foot traverse from Dos Ojos to Cenote Monolitho (the h is silent on the pronunciation). We passed through several cenotes including Dos Palmas, High Voltage, Tak Bi Ha and then ending the dive at Monolitho. There was a monkey in the tree chattering at us when we surfaced at Dos Palmas. We saw an eel and a blind cave fish on this dive. One of the more interesting things about this dive is the variety of the tree roots. We saw several crayfish. The maximum depth was 34 feet and the water temperature was 76 degrees. Connie's organizational skills really came into play on the traverse dives. The van and truck were waiting for us when we arrived at Monolitho and we were able to load up and get out of the jungle before being eaten by mosquitos.
