Devil's Cave System
Entrance to Ballroom
Ginnie Spring's crystal clear water flows
from a cavern with a depth averaging 50ft.
The cavern has an inner chamber and an outer
chamber. There is a cave passage that has
been grated off in the Ballroom to prevent
divers from entering the passage.
Little Devil Slough
Little Devil Spring is located at the head of the
slough. Facing the Sante Fe river, Devil's Eye Spring
is on the right side of the slough and Devil's Ear Spring
is located where the slough runs into the river. The Eye
Ear are the karst windows to the Devil's Cave System.
Little Devil Spring
Little Devil Spring is located at Ginnie
Springs and has a small no-mount cave system.
Gearing up for a cave dive
Unlike most cave systems, Ginnie Springs
has picnic tables and a bath house which
are considered a luxury in cave diving.
Whale Bone
The Whale Bone has been damaged by a diver
who pried it from the rock.
Lips Restriction
"The Lips" is a breakdown restriction about
200ft from the entrance to the Devil System.
Stepdown Passage
The Stepdown room and passage is also known
as the Lips bypass.
Keyhole Restriction
"The Keyhole" is considered the second breakdown
restriction, although it is not a tight restriction.
There are 2 bypasses to the Keyhole.
Junction Rock
The Junction is the rock that looks like
a round park bench. The Bone Room passage
connects to the main line at the Junction.
Bone Room Passage
The breakdown pictured above is just before
the Bone Room, over 600ft from the cave entrance.
White Room
The White Room is circular with a
beautiful white domed ceiling.
Sand Dollar
This Sand dollar is on the main line.
Some jackass has been chipping it away
in his attempt to remove it from the cave.
The Gallery
The Gallery is the large passage between
the cave entrance and the Lips.
