Madison Blue

Madison Blue is in Madison County, in north Florida near the GA state line. The spring is visible from the Withlacoochee River just south of the State Rd 6 bridge crossing the river. Madison has a beautiful blue basin and a large cavern area which is perfect for cavern certified divers to enjoy. Madison Blue was sold by Anna Bruic to the state of Florida. The Board of Commissioners of Madison County approved a resolution to allow cave diving to resume at Madison Blue Springs. Madison Blue is now open to cave diving. They will be open from 10AM until 6PM and closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Currently there is not an air fill station at Madison Blue so you will need to bring your own gas. Diving fee is $5 and please remember to be courteous to the local swimmers and open water divers, this will effect our continued relations with Madison County and the state.

Half Hitch Restriction

On August 25,1999 the Half Hitch restriction,
approximately 850ft, penetration had a collapse.

The passage was cleared and we dove up to Potter's
Delight on Sept. 5 and had no problem getting
through Half Hitch.
