Pot Spring
Pot Spring
Pot Spring is located south of Madison
and is a river cave. It is easily reached
by boat and can be land accessed except
during hunting season.
This system is small and tight and is best
suited for sidemount gear configuration.
In August 2000, we spent an hour digging
out the entrance to the cave. The river
was low and some of the tannic water had
syphoned into the cave system making the
vis drop.
Pot Spring
This photo was taken of an area to the right
of the main line near the entrance.
Black geothite
It was surprising to see the black
geothite so close to the main line.
Cave floor
This photo shows the floor formation with
a dusting of silt. There is very little
damage to the main line area of this cave.
