Tulum Ruins

The Mayan Ruins were built on the cliffs overlooking the Caribbean Sea outside the city of Tulum, Mexico. Many of the caves that we dove were close to the ruins. Cenotes were considered sacred by the Mayans. The ruins were built around 1200 A.D and were occupied until 1519 A.D..
