Project SEED has provided corporate training in communications for teams of mathematicians, research scientists, and engineers. This training is designed to improve the ability of highly trained and motivated individuals to work toward a common goal for research and development. This communication training creates stronger and more effecrtive teams which allows corporations to get the most success from their people.
The theories of transition chaos management assist managers and team leaders in creating focus and building teams from individuals whose success has previously been based on personal achievement rather than group effort. In the book, "The Mythical Man-Month," Brooks states that managing software engineers is akin to "herding cats." The Project SEED transition chaos management strategies are intended to address just this type of management problem and have been used successfully at Bell Laboratories and IBM.
All of Project SEED's corporate training is structured in a fashion similar to how Project SEED trains its own staff internally. The training structure of Project SEED is also a resource to corporations because it can be used as a framework for designing any type of training. Former Texas Instruments Training Manager Ralph Dosher praised the Project SEED training model as a successful model for any type of corporate training.
