The Truth Must Be Told

I first posted the following blog on August 9, 2006 on another website. I include it here in it's entirety, to explain some of the previous blogs I've had here.

OMG, you will not believe this!!! As if I needed any more proof that something wasn't right in Denmark.

Last weekend, my children told me that Joseph Cusimano was babysitting them that Friday that I picked them up. First of all, Kirc was court ordered not to have Joseph around the kids, at all. Next, I found out that Joseph had spent the night, too. Yet another thing Kirc was court ordered not to do: he is not to let another adult spend even one night there as long as the kids are there. Now, here's where it gets interesting. The kids told me that Joseph spent the night in their Daddy's (Kirc Breden) bed, with Daddy in the bed, too. Hmmm, to my knowledge, there is an air mattress, a couch, a futon that pulls out into a bed, and an unused bed (in Johnny's room). In other words, it was possible for Joseph to sleep over without sleeping in the same bed or even the same room as anyone else.

I'll let you come to your own opinion about what is going on over there. Let me add that these two men walk around in their underwear around each other (and around the kids as well as I've been there myself when they've done it in front of the kids). Also, when they were roommates in Tucson, Joseph did Kirc's laundry, including his grungy undies.

I asked my children what they thought of Joseph spending the night (not the first time, btw) in Daddy's bed and my daughter said "I think dad's turning gay." I then asked the guys at work (almost all my coworkers are guys) what they thought if they heard of two (supposedly) heterosexual guys sleeping in the same bed together and they all said, almost in unison, "they're gay."

Now, don't get me wrong, one of my best friends who I've known since 2nd grade is gay (he came out in college). My problem is that if Kirc is now bisexual, or whatever, he needs to be honest about it, come out of the closet, but to never act on it around his children, at all. And I thought he'd already done a huge number of things that were immoral around the children.

Frankly, if anyone can come up with a reasonable explanation for the homophobic Kirc letting another man sleep in his bed, at the same time, when there were other sleeping accomodations available, I'm listening.

Hmmm, was I just a fag hag for 15 years of marriage?"

To add an important note to the above, when I told Kirc that the kids had told me of having walked in on him and Joseph in bed together, he said that he would explain things to Elizabeth, our daughter and oldest child. I said, what could he possibly to say to her to explain what he was doing. He said, and I quote, that they were "snuggling" with each other. Someone could have knocked me over with a feather when I heard that.

Make of this what you will. If anyone wants to believe that it is normal for a heterosexual man (Kirc) to choose to sleep in bed with another man (frankly, I don't give a damn what sexual orientation Joseph Cusimano has), well, I haven't met that person yet and I've asked a lot of men, both heterosexual and homesexual, their opinions on the subject.

Let me state that Joe choosing to sleep in Kirc's bed when Kirc is not in it should not lead anyone to believe anything re: Joe's sexual orientation although I still think it odd.

I will say this re: two men snuggling in bed together in just their underwear: if anyone wants to believe that either or both men are purely and only heterosexual, I seriously think that that person is in serious denial.
