Updated March 2000! Broughtons of the World WarsUpdated March 2000!

No two wars so affected the Earth's population like World War I and World War II. Civilians and military personnel alike gave their lives during this tragic time in history. Of course, some of these heroic people answered to the name Broughton. So it is here that we try to - in some small way - honor their memory.

The names are divided by war and first initials.

NOTE: According to the Commonwealth War Graves Commission, there were more than 250 Broughtons who served as part of the Commonwealth forces in WWI and WWII. These names (along with personal information) are being gathered and will be added to this page as possible.

Another group of Broughton men joined the Canadian Expeditionary Force which battled it out in the trenches of World War I.
