i'm trying to research my henry co. connection to DEES/DEAS/DEESE and CRUMLEY/CRUMBLEY. my gg grandparents were Henry Turner Deese and Mary Caroline Crumbley. I have been able to take the direct line back to EMANUEL DEES in Scotland and also JOHN CRUMBLEY of Scotland , but, can't seem to be able to confirm all the pieces in between. any help would be greatly appreciated and will be happy to share all that i have.

ASKEW a lost family name after 1854; seeking descendants of William and Mary (Polly)(___________)Askew of McDonough; Children: Anne Askew, Mary Davis Askew, Joseph Beatty Askew, Washington Askew, William Henry Askew. I am a descendant of Mary Davis Askew Moore (Mrs. Robert Lowry Moore). The resulting Moore children were orphaned, and removed to Washington, DC; no further records of Askews exist in our files. I would like to make the descenants connections to the Askew siblings, and also seek information on the ancestry of William Askew.

I will appreciate any assistance locating the Sharon Cemetery in Henry Co. Confederate Capt. James Wilkes Vandigriff, b.1832 - d. 1895 is buried there. He is my gg-great uncle. Other members of the vandigriff family are likey buried there as well. He lived in the Lilah community. Does anyone know where this part of Henry Co. is located? Does it still exist? I am also trying to locate the grave of John Vandigriff. He was born in Laurens Co., South Carolina in 1793 and died in 1860. He is the father of the above James Vandigriff. Thank you.
