I am looking for information on Wilkins families in Henry county, Ga. I am hoping for a link to or information on John R. Wilkins and son William W. Wilkins. William W. Wilkins was born abt. 1810-1814 Henry county. Married Elizabeth Carpenter. They had a daughter Eliza. When Elizabeth died, William and Eliza moved to Talladega/Clay County, Alabama. William remarried twice and had several children there. He died in Ashland, Al. located in Clay County, Al. 1884. I believe his sister was Juda Wilkins who married Zachariah Harlen. When Zachariah died, Juda moved to Clay/Talladega Co., Al. and remarried. She and Zachariah had a daughter,Sarah Harlen Carpenter, who died in Ashland...Clay Co., Al. I am looking for information on the Betsill name. I already have a lot of research done, but I am kind of stuck. I would like any information that you may have on Godfrey Sr. and Jr. Betsill. Godfrey Sr. died about 1837, and Jr. died about 1861. If you are not able to find any information, do you know where I might be able to find something out about them. Thank you for your time. My grandfather's name was Franklin Hiram VAUGHN. I think his father was a Henry Vaughn. He may have had a brother named Wm. Henry. I believe he may have been on the 1880 census for Twiggs Co. GA. He was b. Jan 29, 1874 according to his WWI draft registration card. Moved on to Alabama ..... mainly up in the northeastern counties (Chambers, Talapoosa, Randolph, St. Clair, etc.) Have hit a brick wall with his parents..... or anything past him. Any assistance would be appreciated. Barbara Gage e-mail: Bgage4911@aol.com

Three of three: Looking for a copy of an article by Miss. Elizabeth C Nolan which appeared in the U D C Edition of the Weekly in 1908. This article is described by Hr. Scip Speer in 1921, as "the most effective single example of a history of McDonough ever published". Any idea on how I can get a copy?
