My GGGrandfather, Littleton Green Staton b.4/5/1801 M. Mary Hand b. 10/18/1803 in Henry Co. Ga. 5/21/1828. Believe Mary's parents were Issac Hand Sr. and Susannah but have no documentation to prove this. I Have no information on the family of Littleton Green Staton. It is possible that he changed the spelling of his last name. Thier first four children Mary Ann b. 3/1/1830,Epsy Caroline b. 4/27/1831, Nancy M. b. 11/4/1832 and John Jackson b. 7/30/1834 were all believed born in Henry Co. Ga. The family was in Louisiana by 1849 in what would later become Webster Parish where they lived until thier deaths.

He died in 1823 and his widow, Elizabeth and son, Asa were administrators. In 1834, the Ltrs of Admin. were declared to be in full force and effect. Can anyone tell me how to locate this land?
