I have begun to track some land in Henry Co. that belonged to my ancestors and the land descriptions from the 1830's include a term "lot". Does anyone know how many acres are in a "lot"? Also does anyone know of a survey, books, listing of old Grist Mills in the Henry Co. and Spalding Co. area? Jerry Lou Gallagher

Looking for information on the parents of Henry Jackson. He was married to Martha *?* and I believe I found him located in the 1860 Henry County, Georgia Census. Residing in the district of "Bear Creek". He was listed as follows: Henry Jackson; age 35 with wife, Martha; age 37. Also in the household were: Nancy; age 8, John W.; age 6, James; age 3 and Frances L.; age 2/12. It looks like his next door neighbor was E. W. Jackson living with his wife Lucinda. *possible brother??* Any information and/or leads would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I am searching for information on James P. Williams who is listed in the 1850 Henry County Census. He was shown to be 44 years of age and a "waggonwright." His wife was Mary, 35 and the children were Thomas B.14, Rebecca 11, and John R. 2. If you have information on this family, please let me hear from you at cjones5@cfl.rr.com I have reason to believe that James is related to William Wylie Williams, also of Henry/Butts County. Any help appreciated.
