Harmony Masonic Lodge No.22 A.F.M. News Letter for month of Feb. 2004

Brethren;

As we begin our new Masonic year. We must keep our fraternity strong. For it has lasted since the King Solomon era. I would like to congratulate the officers for the new year which are as follows: (Senior Warden) Scott Robinson, (Junior Warden) L. “Sport” Lewis, (Secretary) Kevin Ennis PM, (Treasurer) John Harvey PM, (Senior Deacon) Mark Henderson, (Junior Deacon) Joe Whalen (Tiler) Rick Krob PM, (Steward) Chuck Weickhardt PM (Steward) Edward Michael. I am very appreciative of your support. We are having an EA Degree coming up on 29 Jan 04. Dinner will be served at 7:00 PM. All are encouraged to attend and participate in coaching of new members. I am looking forward to the upcoming degree work we have pending. We have a good year starting out and hope to include more new members in the months to come. Also remember the Blood drive at Wal-Mart. We have reached 50% of our goal already. Please check your local newspaper for dates of the blood drive if it is not included in our newsletter. If anyone is interested in the George Washington Memorial, there is a great web-site to visit. Go to www.gwmemorial.org they have some interesting facts and photos. I look forward to seeing you at lodge.

From the Secretary’s Desk,

Brethren, We started the year 2003 with a membership of 2001 members. In preparing our annual report, we were able to raise only one new member, we affiliated one, we had two to request a Demit and affiliated with another Lodge. The Great Architect of the Universe called nine of our members home. Harold P. Greene, Sr., Thomas Lagare Rodgers, Herber B. Harley, P/M. James E. Cornwell, John P. Carey, Lawrence A. Yokaum, James W. Cullom, and Mark E. Fordham. May our Father continue to watch over their families. Unfortunately we had to drop eight of out members for non-payment of dues. With these numbers, we ended up the year with a total membership of 185. Brethren, we have no control over a couple of these, but we can do all in our power to keep the members that we have. If you are one of those that were dropped please take time to reflect on what Masonry means to you. Consider that at this point you can be reinstated, by filling out an application form and paying two years dues. If you do this within the year 2004, you will not loose any time toward becoming a Life Member after 40 years.

We will be updating our records on the computer and we would like for each member to send us the name of your Wife, and an E-Mail address if you have one. This can be sent by mail P O Box No. 22 or by E-mail to Kevin Ennis (kevinennis@hotmail.com) And Bob Pinkston (rvppgm@hargray.com) .

We would also love to hear from all on what they think of our newsletter, and what they would like to see in it, from time to time.
