It has been long time since we met! How wonderful to see everyone again. The evening was refreshing (in more ways than one) and relaxed. Unfortunately Heidi had a family commitment and had to leave early, and Lisa graciously drove her home – but not before we had a darn good time.

It has been a long time since we met! Oh, I repeated that didn’t I?

The meeting began with a seasonal "Blackened Voodoo" lager, a dark, flavorful lager with a smooth finish. I had no trouble with finishing my sample – I was a bit dry that evening (more like a "soak"). What can I say? I don’t hydrate myself very well. There was one ‘problem’ (if you can call it that) with the sample – we’d had it before! Joan was a bit disconcerted with the fact that she’d repeated – "my first time!" she said to me with a snarl. No matter, we enjoyed the beer anyways.

I was a bit dry that evening (more like a "soak"). Oh, I repeated that, didn’t I? That seems to be going around! Joan’s second AND third samples turned out to be REPEATS as well. Not that there’s anything WRONG with that! We did get a good laugh out of Joan’s trifecta. We reassured Joan that repeating samples does not maker her ‘stupider’ than any one of us. That condition is reserved for the more mature, other gender. It also brought discussion about sometimes having club to drink beers for enjoyment only – not to rate. Joan suggested "theme" beers along with matching food. We agreed that could be fun. We agreed that could be fun. (There I go repeating again!) Actually, the repeated samples, and the new one, were Octoberfests and a pumpkin brew that fit well with the season. Halloween and club just are not complete without a little ‘costuming’. So, I made sure we have another picture for the website with us PALS in some "gorgeous" masks! We got a good laugh out of that too.

The evening ended quietly, lasting as long as we could stay awake to talk. Good friends are a valuable resource.
