Fallen Angel
by M. F. Luder
At three in the morning, a knock on the door is heard. In a cold New York night, they rush to the hospital looking for their friend -- their brother. Brian, Howie, AJ and Nick have to face the harsh reality. Things just might not work out for the best.
And when they think they can pull through, another surprise is waiting for them. He's lost. He's lost within his life and within himself. Thinking they are doing it for Kevin's sake, they lie. They lie and they continue lying until they just can't see the difference between truths and deceive.
Now Kevin is a blank book needing to be written on. He has to learn everything: the dances, the songs, the habits, the tendencies... the feelings. He has to learn what it is to be himself. Still, at the end of the day, Kevin is a stranger among friends.
And while trying to rediscover himself, he also learns to love.

The luminous mysteries that once seemed so distant and unreal, threatening clarity in the presence of a truth entertained not in youth, but only in it's passage. I feel these words as if their meaning were weight being lifted from me, knowing that you will; read them and share my burden, as I have come to trust no other. That you should know; my heart, look into it, finding there the memory and experience that belong to you, that are you.
